    I've had this happen after an upgrade. If I remember correctly (always dangerous), I logged out completely from the Store, rebooted, and went back in. I do know that you are not alone and that there are a LOT of solutions offered by different people on the MSFS forums. Perhaps one of them might be able to assist if what I wrote does not work. If you do go there and what someone else suggested works, please let us know the solution so we can help the next person :)

    Does it do it with ALL AC? And have you added any new mods??

    Could the Escape button be mapped to something else? Not saying you remapped it, but perhaps something you might have installed remapped it?? Just throwing it out there :)

    Can you provide a link? (if its freeware), Perhaps we could attempt to install it and give some insight if we run into problems.

    Have you tried contacting the developer?? They may have ran into this and have a fix.

    Have you logged out of the Store, rebooted, relog into the Store to see what happens?

    One big thing I found out is that even though I have 600 Mbps service coming in, what I get from MS is WAY below that. Server speed does indeed play a part in this :(

    While I do not use the Live Traffic feature, this "might" help https://flightsim.to/file/17289/enhanced-live-traffic Flightsim.to also has a lot more live traffic options and a slew of other useful mods :)

    If while in the sim you get the Your offline message, then the sim is not connecting to the servers. Inside the sim, main menu, Options, General Options, Data and ensure that Bing Data World Graphics AND Photogrammetry are both switched on. Sometimes updates will switch them off, I've even had it switched off if my Internet drops off for a few seconds.

    I did a London tour, at night. Took off from London City, went straight towards ALL of the POI's that were popping up, then eventually landed at EGLL 27R Was a nice flight, seeing the city lit up. Something I would recommend :)

    I've found that if my Internet goes down while flying, it "may" knock Bing offline. Sometimes an update will reset it. Sometimes I think my cat causes it, it happens :)

    It is nice. On one of my other games, MS has put up a splash screen as well. It does help :)

    Hi Joe, I cannot provide much help, but does this happen on all AC or just certain ones?

    Before the update I was getting 25-30 FPS in the KJAX area (home town). Now, I am getting 12-15 FPS. I've turned down just about everything. I know I don't have the greatest GPU (can't afford $1800 for one), but there is a difference since the update. Edit-this is in VR 25-30 prior to the update, now 12-15 post update in VR

    I've experienced a drop in VR as well, I was getting close to 30 FPS, now I am in the teens most of the time. Sigh :(

    I've never tried any of the Discovery flights, so I figured why not. WOW!!!! I was impressed, gave me great views of the scenery, loved them. I am going to do them all!

    I would start with the free planes in MSFS, play around with the weather, pick two airports and go from there :)

    I would log out of the game, log out of MS Store store, reboot, log back into MS Store, which should also log you into the sim, relaunch the sim and hopefully that will fix the problem

    Fired up the sim to fly around Venice and got a 300 meg mandatory update. Interesting.................
