  1. simwestALBQ is 100% free. simwestSOCAL and simwestSANDIEGO were never free.
  2. Yes, it is still available and free. Go to the FlightSim.Com Store here and you can find it under 'New' or 'Best Seller' categories.
  3. I use REX World Airports HD, World-of-AI, custom AFCADs, and created using a free app (can't remember name), that created a ton of superb GA aircraft. With all those the default airports get a nice facelift.
  4. As the developer of the FDSFX announcement panel (old timers out there?), maybe the recordings I made would work for this add-on as well? Not sure as I have not tried it but I think I made dozens of different announcements for various airlines plus there were additional airlines that simmers uploaded over the years. Just thinking.... Clutch
  5. Congratulations go out to Gene Borderlon Of Henderson, NV, USA. He was a winner of our Breaking Bad Easter Egg Hunt Challenge found inside our little freeware scenery simwestALBQ. He has won a free copy of simwestSOCAL and simwestSANDIEGO. "Way to go Gene!" Happy 4th! 😁 Clutch
  6. I know some of you pilots have been waiting a long time (years?), for this so I am very happy to announce we just released Southern California, USA. It is available here only at the FlightSim.Com Store. Check it out for more info, screenies and a special Limited Edition bonus (a first in flightsim I think). And if you download simwestALBQ (free) and enter the Breaking Bad Easter Egg Hunt contest you could win simwestSOCAL. The odds of winning are really good but you have to enter by July 1st.
  7. Could it be one of your switches is also killing your engines?
  8. For better or worse, subscription fees are here to stay. I do work for HP and even their ink has a subscription. For me it would have to be like not living up to the hype (case with Flight), or how they work with 3rd party developers. Time will tell.
  9. If you coming back solely for MS new Flight Simulator, you're too early. Come back in a year ;)
  10. Now that is one amazing and generous offer! Sure hope it goes to a simmer in need.
  11. I can answer the latter part of your question - Airport Design Editor and SBuilderX are good tools to add objects where needed. I believe there are payware tools to add scenery as well, but a name doesn't come to mind. To take it a little deeper you can find tools at the site FSDeveloper which may be of use.
  12. oooooh... Luv that PSA. Brings back lot's of fun memories.
  13. For my Saitek Yoke and throttles I connected them directly to the back of my PC. For other hardware I use powered hubs. Also check to ensure the hubs don't go into "low power" mode I read about years back. Forget exactly what that's called but it would cause issues at times for me.
  14. Fear not! We hope to add a little fun for you as we offer a freebie scenery download, simwestALBQ, to get your mind off it. 😉 Download is available now, right here exclusively at the FlightSim.Com Store. Look for 'simwest'. Comes in FSX/FSX Steam and P3D flavors. Happy Flyin' Clutch
  15. Just want to say we have just released our first.... FINALLY! simwestALBQ and it's FREE! Think of it as a little fun for those of us who could not attend the FlightSim Expo going on right now. It is available exclusively here at the FlightSim.Com Store under 'simwest'. Happy Flyin' Clutch
  16. I would start right here at Flightsim. Two forums look like a good start: 'PC Hardware, Video And Audio Help forum' and 'Cockpit Builders' forum. Good luck. Clutch
  17. "Is it cockpit sharing via LAN?" Yes. It also is important to find add-ons that support this method. So my cockpit gauges come from different sources that support this as well as my moving maps, Super Traffic Board, etc. You might want to search on any hardware or cockpit forums as you can get a lot of good ideas seeing other simmer set ups.
  18. I was just stating that when I pull up LFPG I am seeing pleanty of parking spots to choose from... and this is all default - no addons. So I was suggesting it was time to dig into your system a bit deeper to see why you do not have any parking spots. That's all :)
  19. Landclass based scenery will not give you the accuracy you need. You need to use photoreal based scenery. The only developer I know of that has Pennsylvania in photreal is MegaScenery Earth. But it only contains the ground images. No autogen buildings or vegetation are include and it only has day textures for summer.
  20. Welcome aboard but beware! This can get very addicting ;) Always curious as to how did you discover flightsim in the first place and what made you decide to try it?
  21. Welcome back Tinman. Wow if the last time you were simming was way back when Emma Field was active (and it sure was), it has been a loooong time, ha! I'm surprised there isn't more activity when it comes to bush flying or maybe I'm like you and just haven't found the right site. Couple of ideas... A new flight sim is coming "Deadstick Simulator" so that may generate interest. A new Emma Field was in the works years ago. I saw some development shots that looked superb but I guess it got shelved. Too bad. Surprised no one has taken up on it since. A site/forums I came across was called "Got Bush" with all things dedicated to bush flying. Seemed a little quiet though. Alaska Winds was another but haven't been there in ages. 'Return To Misty Moorings' is probably the most active site I have found regarding bush so I would check them out. Hope that helps... Clutch
  22. I have three 27" displays in a "wrap-around" view using one 1080 GPU, then on a 2nd PC I have a 4th display running gauges, flight tracking, moving map, etc. Setup works great with FSX or FSX:SE. Just throwing it out there as an idea to use two GPU's via two PC's and I would think easier on the system dividing up the workload on two PCs.
  23. I would suggest looking at FSX Steam Edition as most if not all tweaks have been incorporated. I also saw on the Steam site a Caravan with a G1000 by Carenado for $25 so that may be what you are looking for as the easiest way to get up and going. If you want a 64 bit FS platform you might want to take a look at X-Plane or P3D. As for the Caravan, you would need to search if they have a compatible version.
  24. Just an FYI, I pulled up LFPG on P3Dv4.4 and there are plenty of parking spots. Time to dig into your system. :(
  25. Forgot how nice Oz looks. Orbx should return to their roots.
