  1. "It's frustrating..." I can imagine, which makes me ask with such a nice setup as yours I am surprised you have not obtained at least a joystick? Curious, why keyboard only?
  2. I can't think of any. I did download the latest version 2019, as my P3Dv4 was using the version released in 2016. I would double check paths depending on how you "activate: it. I use the Scenery library method so I can easily turn on or off but you could do that as well with the add-on xml method. Looks great in P3Dv5 so you have something to look forward to.
  3. You could always repeat the flight without the addons to see if it still crashes, in other words remove the variables to get to the core of the problem. I'm doing the same right now with P3Dv5. Occasionally I get a lock at 77% after making an adjustment so I am repeating by removing one add-on at a time. Good luck
  4. I'll be purchasing it on day one.
  5. If I was going that route I would consider one that is 4K. Other than that I would think it would be a nice choice. For myself, I use 5 displays... three 27" (1080P), across for a "wide-view", a 15" 16:9 for my instruments and a smaller 13" for my follow maps. These are run on across two PC's.
  6. So long as it works for that's good. P3D does not allow priority adjusting for sceneries that are installed via the "add-on xml" method where as yo can using the traditional Scenery Addon method. Why they did not add that option? You could edit those or reinstall to make the adjustments but that is beyond this conversation. So tell me, how is performance/FPS using the combination?
  7. Try it with FSDT having a higher priority.
  8. I would suggest contacting other organizations such as your to get ideas on how they started. Education facilities/ museums/ aviation facilities all might have good input. Just an idea?
  9. Just came down to these forums to relax and have a look at the many cockpits being developed which gives me lots of ideas for my setup. Can't help ya with your issue but thought I would say looking real good. Guess over that amount of time the hobby becomes building the cockpit as opposed to flying. All the best.
  10. I think like many my favorite airport would be my hometown airport. For that, it means KSAN, San Diego, California. But I think outside my hometown airport is currently is Santa Barbara KSBA or Big Bear, both in Southern California. Just having lot's of fun moving in-out-of these areas.
  11. It would be hard for me to purchase such a intricate bird without using a Yoke, throttle quad, etc. I would think about acquiring those first which you can then enjoy among many different aircraft let alone the NGXu. Just a thought... Happy New Year
  12. Yea, I'm sure had to twist your arm to get a new PC, ha! Lucky dawg. :)
  13. You'd think they might work but not always... a hit-n-miss. I would suggest tracking down the developer to see if they offer an update/upgrade (may be a freebie or not?), into P3D and that way they can be installed properly.
  14. By that I was talking about the feature where orbx allows you place certain 3rd-party (or I guess their airports/sceneries as well), to correct certain conflicts. I believe they explain it in their Orbx Central app or perhaps documentation. Of course they have a forum with plenty of experts over there that may be able to address your issue. Happy Holidays
  15. Adding mesh will not correct the issue you described. In fact, it may worsen the effect as you add higher resolution mesh. The tool that orbx provides was for the exact issue you describe so I surprised it is not working for you. Could it be the sceneries are not in the correct priority. Not trying to steer you away from mesh as it adds a lot to ground definition and recommend it on its own values. I just don't think it will solve your issue.
  16. Maybe you could set up the flight using slew mode. Of course now you got to research what is "slew" mode.
  17. I would say plan for the best system you can budget and add to that budget a monthly subscription rate as well as the fastest internet you can afford! Can we say "CA-JING $$$!" :)
  18. Does it ever happen when you are pressing a key or mouse movement? Could be you have a selection conflict. I say this because I found a reverser conflict due to an old setting I had long forgotten.
  19. Looks like it was duplication/mixed up FSUIPC.ini file. Cleaned out some old settings/aircraft and it appears to be working correctly in case anyone else has the same issue. :)
  20. Yea, I don't use the keyboard's F1/F2 but that reminds me it almost appears like a selection conflict so I will also check all my hardwares to ensure some other button has been selected to deploy reverser.
  21. Pilots - I recently d/l a good ol' posky 737-800 (that also works in P3Dv4), and there is an issue where Engine 2 reversers continue to deploy and retract. For those who have the Logitech/Saitech throttle quadrant, if I manually deploy them they activate as expected (I have set my throttle "buttons" to deploy them via FSUIPC) Then when I begin to reverse direction of the throttle (increasing power), the reversers close as expected but as I continue to increase the reversers keep "popping" open. I add more throttle and they start to close then pop open again?!? More thrust start closing - pause the throttle position start to open again - repeats all the way up until full thrust. So I did reverse my throttle settings changing #1 as #2 and #2 to #1 yet it still happens to engine #2. Engine #1 always works correctly. Do not have this issue with other aircraft so I am tending to believe it is not a hardware issue. Just asking if anyone has come across this issue in the past? Maybe something I can check in the aircraft.cfg file? Thx, Clutch
  22. I was gonna say on a setup such as you are building I would suggest looking into a 2nd computer just to handle the gauges/glass displays. I do that with my 3-across displays and then a 2nd PC with a 16x9 16" display for gauges, moving map, Super Traffic Board (or just watch TV during a flight, ha!). Keeps the load on the first PC dedicated to the scenery. Just a thought.
  23. Now it's time to turn around and go the opposite direction!
  24. Sure, I know... buy some scenery for north of Los Angeles! (Gee, now why would I say that?) Happy Halloween!
