  1. Could it be you have "wideview" on?
  2. To me, there isn't really any add-on that I must have. I would fly around in the default for awhile and I think you will start to discover what add-ons you do want to improve your flight experience. Maybe you lean towards finding the right aircraft or maybe it's scenery, airports or weather/clouds you want to improve. There are literally hundreds of choices and everyone has their favorites, but their favorite may not be yours. I could easily say I could not live without my FSUIPC but others may say "eh, I can do without". When you see something that interest you, check up on by searching posts about it. That way you can get an overall view from many simmers about the add-on. And have fun with the searching! Welcome to the forums.
  3. Think I will let the dust settle then perform a clean install.
  4. The real question here is how did the phrase "Winner-winner, chicken dinner" come about? , ha!
  5. I have been very happy with my copy of LarinVFR's KSAN. No issues I can think of, good FPS oh, and I live in San Diego and know the airport well. I believe they captured the "feel" of the airport quite well.
  6. Yummy! Really like the paint/color of the craft.
  7. I've used XPOI for years and really enjoy it, especially in areas I am not familiar with. I would recommend it.
  8. I luv it. The man learns to develop gauges from scratch and the first comment is about light from a window!?! That is incredible work. A whole hobby onto itself. That musta taken months if not years to master. I too have a setup with three 27" wrap-around displays and a smaller 15" for gauges or a panel when I wish to go "2-D mode". Any plans on releasing those to fellow simmers? Great job, Clutch
  9. Thx for the vote of confidence. We are getting there... just step-by-step. Hoping for an announcement in April (fingers crossed).
  10. simwestFOTOREAL started as a simple little project for myself to try and enhance photoreal scenery. After four years of development we thought it was time to show some development shots of what we got going. My goal was threefold: immersion, performance and enjoyment. To give typical photoreal scenery a “shot in the arm” sort of speak with 3D buildings, vegetation, night lighting, watermasking, color corrected imagery and even seasons where applicable. I think I have accomplished this but the only way to make sure is to let others try it. So I am seeking beta testers to try simwestFOTOREAL. We need all types of simmers with all types of platforms. So if you fly with P3Dv4, P3dv3, P3Dv2, P3D and/or FSX and FSX:SE and are interested in beta testing please send me an email at: ‘projects @ simwest . com’ (FYI - there are no spaces or in the email address). Please use ‘BetaTester’ for the Subject line. Living in San Diego, California, USA, I thought I would start here. Travel around 100+ miles north and you will hit the city of Los Angeles. Here's Hollywood with the city of Burbank in the background. Yuma, Arizona Farmland and the town El Centro, California The desert city of Palm Springs, California Colorado River Rio Grande River Even small out-of-the-way places where you will most likely never see are modeled. I like to call this “Nowhere”. The idea is add a bit of exploring for those who fly GA low-n-slow. And for those who fly "tubeliners" we hope to add the thrill of immersion all around you as you make your approaches and take-offs such as here in the San Fernando Valley, which is north of Los Angeles. Well, that's it for now. Thanks for viewing.
  11. So out of your entire 64 years THIS is the most frustrating issue you have ever had!? Gee I envy you ;) My suggestion is to contact GF. I did years back when I had an issue with their MCPPRO panel and they were very responsive in getting my issue fixed.
  12. I'm not sure if this is the answer but worth checking out. There is a 64bit sound gauge that was created that from what I have read fixes sound issues like you mention above. I saw it on the Orbx forums. Thread is titled: 'Doug Dawson 64 bit sound gauge'. I would check that out and see if it might resolve your issue. good luck, Clutch
  13. Yea, on some of the sound-sets that's my voice... Capn' Clutch! I used to recruit real-world flight attendants to make the recordings. Yea, no smoking and how about "movie". Guess that would be "multi-media" these days. :) I threw out an idea here on the P3D forums if you care to read. It's actually a post from another simmer about FDSFX but I added some comments/ideas there if interested. Clutch
  14. So long since I last took a look at it but Zippy, your missing your panel plate image 'FDFSX.bmp', (as you probably know), and Acuity not sure if you have it working or not yet? Whats your panel.cfg file look like? Even though I created FDSFX panel way back in 2003, it works with FSX and P3D up to version3. I just never updated the install instructions which are pretty bad to begin with, ha! Sadly, it will not work with P3Dv4. Awe.... if I ever get the time...
  15. Thx for the comments guys. Haven't checked this download for years since I created the little app. OMG 14 years ago! This will work in FSX and P3Dv1 thru3. I never did check to see if it will work in v4. You should be able to use any mp3 file you select. So a British Airways safety vid should work so long as it is in the correct format. Enjoy!
  16. Man, you have been away for awhile! :) I remember Emma Field... a sim classic. Welcome back.
  17. I just have to say that is pretty frickin' awesome! I luv PA. I use them most of the time in P3D.. even over the payware out there. THey worked nice in v2.5 so looking forward to trying them out in P3Dv3. Great contribution the flightsim community.
