  1. Your missing the textures for those objects. Best bet to find the culprit is diminish the variables by de-activating all your add-on sceneries and slowly add them back in one by one keeping your eyes focused on your shot there each time you refresh the sim. Once those black objects appear you will at least know what package it is in and start digging in deeper there. Clutch
  2. Just wanted to give a shout out to the app SPADNext as I tried to use it years back and could not for the life of me get it to work with my Saitek (now Logitech), panels. My equipment literally sat there for a couple of years I as progressed into P3Dv4.5. I had heard they recently released a new version so I dedicated an evening of several hours thinking that is the minimum I would need, and installed the latest version. I installed with no issues, watched a 15 minute You Tube vid to get my bearings, used a default profile to start and WHOLAA! It all worked! This never happened in the past. My Logitech Multi Panel, Switch Panel and two Radio Panels. Did a flight with a Project Airbus A19 from Phoenix KPHX to San Diego KSAN and was impressed on how it was all working. Next I need to look into the BIP panel and I'm sure some tweaking and trying out a custom profile. Thanks to all over at SPADNext for a superb evening flight. Clutch
  3. Yes... brings back memories. Like both versions of the movie and I remember is was some modeler here that helped promote the movie with her model?
  4. I would be surprised if there was not some conflicts... they basically perform the same functions?
  5. Nice paint... where was that shot?
  6. You don't mention what 3rd party add-ons you are talking about. It's actually quite easy. Usually developers will state the size of their addons. For example, our simwestSOCAL is around 40GB. Our simwestARIZONA (not released), will be larger as it will be available in 60cm. Just add what size is for Arizona, Nevada and whatever and that should give you a good idea what size of HDD space you will need.
  7. Do tell about this bird! Who- What-Where? Is it FSX, P3D? luv the paint.
  8. Good luck on your quest. I've seen over the years many simmers add this to their flightsim bucket list. A great way to break the habit of flying the same routes and forces you to fly to new destinations.
  9. Looks great! Downloading now. Looking forward to giving her a "test drive" or should I say "test flight" in my P3D. A big thank you for your contribution to the hobby. Clutch simwest
  10. FS2004 was probably my favorite version with its historical aspect. I had really hoped/liked FSX when it came out but like many was disappointed in the performance so I moved on. But with my PC today I can easily run FS2004 or FSX maxed (have both installed). Now FSX has the edge. I can easily port over items from FS2004 into FSX and there is still new scenery available for FSX. Now I can enjoy FSX as it was probably originally intended. Clutch
  11. I used it in P3Dv4.5 for some clips and it worked.
  12. Man, I've been using my PA318's and 319's since P3Dv1. Luv them. Didn't know they made sharklet versions. Hope you find an answer.
  13. Kai Tak will always be my most favorite airport of all time! (think Kai Tak - 9Dragons for you old timers)
  14. Yes, I have several scenery add-ons scattered on several different hard drives and simply adding them to the Scenery Library will work as usual, plus it doesn't clutter up my main FSX or FSX Steam folder. Clutch
  15. I thought USAir bought them out? Oh well, I still have the original America West flying around on my system. That's the great thing about flight simulation, I can have who I want sharing the skies with me. :)
  16. David, looking at the screenshots it appears you will be flying this all with default scenery? It may be just me but I would think things would get a bit repetitive after a few states? Clutch
  17. You could probably pick up a used FSX on Ebay really cheap if you want the disk (since you already have your license). Personally, have both FSX and FSX installed on my system I find Steam a great way to go these days as all the tweaks/updates are done for you.
  18. We have uploaded a little intro video on simwestSOCAL and shows highlights of simwestSANDIEGO. Also, we have several requests on extending the simwest "4-Buck Boost" combo package for a few days more (guess payday falls on the 1st and the 5th), so we have extended the Limited Edition thru August 5th. Don't forget, we have simwestALBQ as a freebie so you can give our type of scenery a "test flight".
  19. Yard sales, boot sales, garage sales... I don't care what you call them. I need to start going to some!
  20. I think you need to first take a long, hard look at what you have first regarding hardware then decide it it is worth it. That's where the money is spent first. I had a terrible experience when FSX came out (yes, talkin' about way back when), so I moved to P3Dv1 when it came out and never looked back. I don't fly the heavy systems tubeliners like PMDG but I still had to spend $1,000's to upgrade my system to handle the latest and greatest. But to me I felt it was worth it. And now that it's 64bit that meant an upgrade of many of my add-ons where several of my favorites have faded away. It's funny, cause now I can go back and fly FSX and get a great experience but seeing what P3D has to offer I'm content with my decision. And now you need to think about the new MS Flight Simulator in the mix, ha!
