No problems with the download or files installing. -
Default weather has been disabled. There are third party solutions for that. Also note that if you have a newer operating system, there are a few extra installation steps. There is a pinned topic all about that at this forum.

No drivers needed. Just plug it in and let Windows set it up.

Says someone else who knows very little about MSFS. Let it be clear that the two above posters tried to stir the pot by bringing MSFS into this thread, not I. But when falsehoods are posted I will be the first to call them out.

Sorry, no we don't. And please don't start trying to proclaim what MSFS has or doesn't have. Let it be known that Mark owned and used MSFS for zero minutes, zero seconds; lifetime.

Leave everything the way it is now. Everyone is more constrained by general internet traffic and the servers at the other end of your connection.

Which has been true for years now due to security changes in Windows.

This is absolutely not true. FS9 can be installed ANYWHERE and still work properly. It can be installed on a different hard drive, external drive, flash drive, or SSD drive. In fact, the Program Files location is the WORST place it could end up, due to permissions issues in Windows. Also, it doesn't matter if your program is 32 bit or 64 bit. Windows is smart enough to know what it is and how to install and run it.
