Flattermann
Hi, I tried to download a file which I found at the FS2004 General Aviation category, but the download button doesn`t work. The file is FS2004 Taylorcraft Auster Model Plus C. On the right side there is a black sign for initialing the download? Perhaps I forgot something? Greetings Flattermann happy landings! grimsel
Click on the package's name (FS2004 Taylorcraft Auster Model Plus C), not on the black button, and on the next screen click on "Download this file". That should work. Flattermann
Thank you for the quick answer. My problem is the download link. I tried it as you said but I get a error message (see the attachment) I doesn't know why but the link leads to the old forumsname. The same problem is by downloading sceneries from the freewarescenery.com. First I had the problem finding the new Flightsim.com Forum. Two weeks I thought the forum is dead! And then a friend from an other forum gave me the right websitename. happy landings! Christian:pilot: Intel i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHZ, 4 Kerne, 16 GB MSI RX 480; M. Adrian K
1 hour ago, allanlowson said: Why do I keep seeing "Sorry, you aren't permitted to download this file." We cannot know without more information. ie the link you are trying to access. If you get an error, this may be: You are using an old link from the old forum - these old links will not work anymore . You need to use the new forum. The file was removed by the author. It's most likely reason #1. So please use the download portal her, links do work. thanks
allanlowson
It wasn't reason #1. Try doing a file search for "gipsy moth" in the FSX section. I got the message for FSX Gipsy Moths N1510V, G-AAVJ, NC917M, and NC919DH. Then I stopped. Screengrabs zipped as attachment. So links off this forum do not appear to be working as you think, at least from this side of the pond. I'm sure we'll get there in the end, but that may be a bit further down the road. Have there been mass file removals by authors? Fsim_fails.zip

loki
1 hour ago, Adrian K said: works fine here It works fine for me going through just my ISP's connection, but when I connected my VPN through an Austrian server, I get a 403 error. Looks like there is an issue somewhere along the way for Austrian connections. Is there some sort of geoblocking or filtering going on?
Tom Gibson
Yes indeed. I have several users who are Austrian and none of them can download anything here. They have to use a VPN or have someone else download the files. I'm surprised this hasn't been fixed yet?
