spirittoo
I have the CH USB Pedals and when ever I use them for the rudder the parking brake engages. I have the steam edition of FSX. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks for reading my post. spirittoo
I did check the control assignments and saw no conflict at all. spirittoo
Could it be some kind of glitch in the config? mallcott
No. It will be an error in YOUR configuration of the controls. Check the parking brake is set to reverse in the Assignments menu, for example.
spirittoo
Nope ... I said it once I will say it again. I checked the control config several times and there are no conflict between each of the controls. The reverse is checked it the brake assignments. OleGreyGhost
If it is as you say, no conflicts, then all that is left is misalignment of equipment &/or pilot distraction. The pedals are sensitive. If you do not have the proper angles set up, you can be inadvertently applying pressure slightly higher forward which will engage the brakes. Use heel pressure only.... spirittoo
You know it's crazy ... some times when I release the parking brake the brakes will not come back on when I move the pedals. While other times it will and keep braking when I touch the pedals even after releasing the parking brake ... really weird XP10/FSXSE_MSI B350_AMD Ryzen7 1700_16Gb DDR4 2133_Win7 64_GTX 550 1GB GPU FSXSE/XP11/P3D ECS H87H3-WM_Intel i7 4770k @3.5Ghz_16Gb DDR3 1600_Win7 64_GTX 1050Ti 4GB GPU

Reversing the control assignment also means you need to reset the null zone and sensitivity
spirittoo
I guess the only way I can prove to you that there are no assignment conflicts is to figure out how to take a screen shot of it and put it up. I'll see what I can do. I did a print screen and used paint but I have three monitors and I can't figure out how to just show the one screen with the control settings, plus I have to figure out how to reduce the size so I can post it. mallcott
Yes do that. Don't bother with a screen shot: Take the contents of standard .xml (the one in your Controls folder) and post it here AND remember to show us the box in the GUI with control sensitivity and null zone applied... tiger1962
I have the CH Pro Pedals and CH Flight Sim Yoke. The parking brake is assigned to Button 2 on the yoke, not to Axis X and Y on the pedals, which should only operate the left and right differential brakes respectively. tiger1962
You haven't assigned a CH Combatstick button to Parking Brake. Try assigning one and see if the CH Pro Pedals toe brakes stop activating it. spirittoo
You haven't assigned a CH Combatstick button to Parking Brake. Try assigning one and see if the CH Pro Pedals toe brakes stop activating it. That didn't work ... and as you can see there are no conflicts in the assignments. tiger1962
That didn't work ... and as you can see there are no conflicts in the assignments. There are no conflicts, but commands such Parking Brake which should be there by default are missing. This problem is a lot simpler to fix than meets the eye - you've set your own control assignments and lost some basic functions. Join the club, we've all done it too! Try resetting the control assignments back to default and start again, but next time leave the brakes assignments as they are. In the FSX Settings page, click on Controls and then click on the Reset Defaults button on the Calibration, Buttons/Keys and Control Axes tabs. Easy.
