tiger1962 Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 If you have no other controllers of any kind connected, just the pedals and flightstick, and this problem only happens with FSX:SE, you could try a Verify Integrity scan from your Steam account: -load Steam -hover your mouse over Library -click on "Games" - Right-click"Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition" -select "Properties" -Select the "Local Files" tab -click on "Verify Integrity of Games Cache" This automatically repairs or replaces any corrupted game files for you. I did find that in the steam settings under controller in the general tab my throttle and fighterstick are listed but not the pedals. I see no way to tell it that I have pedals or to go look for them. Oh and I did a new build and did a fresh install of steam and the problem is still there. It must be that the pedals are not listed. tiger1962 Posted March 15, 2019 Share Posted March 15, 2019 spirittoo, if you're using Win7 x64 (like me) then the pedals should be appear in the Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers window as 'HID compliant game controller', along with your throttle and flightstick - so you should have three items named 'HID compliant game controller' in there. I use the CH Control Manager 4.55a because it has a Test/Calibrate feature which re-scans the USB ports if any controller isn't being recognised by Windows - very useful! The stick and pedals are usb, but the throttle is hooked up through a usb adapter. I even contracted ch product test support, their answer was to uninstall it and use windows. I am not seeing all game controllers under the devices and printers. If so, have you tried connecting them into a different USB port on that PC, or the adapter, or even to your other PC to check whether that one recognizes them? The funny thing is the throttle is not functioning properly in the sim. I suspect because the mobo is a new model it is possible the adapter will no long work as it did with the old mobo. I am working on getting a 3.0 usb pcie card to work, but so far I am having problems with it. Even those I installed the driver for it, windows claims it can't find it. I have the devices hooked up to a hub, but I hope they will work better with the card once I get it to work. I think the consensus on the CH Forums (before they closed down) was that the controllers work best when connected directly to the mobo. I'm lucky in that respect, mine has 6 USB ports; 4 at the back and 2 at the front. If you can, connect your controllers directly to the mobo and use the adapter or hub for other usb devices such as mouse, keyboard, printer etc. Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..." I am working to get a 3.0 USB PCIe card to give me 4 more ports, but so far I can't get it to work. It's a Rosewill RC508. I installed the latest driver, but I am getting a yellow(!) in the USB controller section in the device manager with a code 10, stating the device can't start. I've tried looking in the BIOS but there is only 2 options for the PCIe slot ... x16 or x4+x4+x4+x4 ... it is set to x16. Trying to get that to work. Tried resetting the CMOS, but that didn't work. I order a used USB throttle to correct that situation. I found this info about the Rosewill RC508 for Win10 issues, but it might also work for Win7: If you updated the Windows from Windows 7/8 to Windows 10 and encountered issues, please follow the steps below. 1. With the device plugged in, open Device Manager. 2. Locate "Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller" under Device Manager. 3. Right click on it and left click on Uninstall. Check the box "Delete The Driver Software For This Device". 4. Reboot the system. 5. Once booted back into Windows 10, Windows will recognize the device and install the device using the built in drivers.
