At 14, 115 feet it is the easternmost of Colorado's 54 fourteeners. Northwest of the city lies the Garden Of Gods with its many vertical rock formations. They are made of sedimentary beds red and white sandstones, conclomerates and limestone that were deposited horizontally but have been tilted vertically and faulted by the immense mountain building forces caused by the uplift of the Pikes Peak massiv. FS2004/FSX Scenery--Muscat International Airport
FS2004/FSX Scenery--Muscat International Airport (OOMS), Oman. This is my first scenery for the Sultanate of Oman. This is a very basic scenery. Buildings have been placed placed in the areas that they should be in the real OOMS. This scenery includes a new landclass surrounding the airport, as well as new landclass for the City of Muscat itself. Also re-creates the AFCAD. Tested the scenery on the VATSIM Network, and through VATAWARE, was able to confirm that the scenery was nearly spot-on to the GPS coordinates of the real positions on the OOMS Facility. What you will be getting is an accurate layout of the Muscat International Airport facility. While the buildings are not photo-textured to be like the real ones, the overall sense of the airport will be felt through the use of this finish product. This requires the VATJO Scenery Package (FS2004: VATJO-FULL-JO-SCEN-FS9.ZIP) (FSX: VATJO-FULL-JO-SCEN-FSX.ZIP) and the VATJO Scenery Package Update (FS2004/FSX VATJO-FULL-JO-SCEN-FS9-FSX-U1.ZIP). FS2004 Scenery--Helmericks 22AK Revised Alaska (AK). Helmericks (now with textures) is on the northern coast of Alaska, 150 miles east of Barrow and 50 miles west of Prudhoe Bay. It is on the shore of Colville Island in the delta of the Colville River, and hasn't changed much from when Harmon Helmericks set up house there in the late 1950's. In 1966 he was involved in the first north slope exploratory oil well drilling operation by Sinclair Oil, which was to lead to the opening up of the north slope in the 1970's. Read "The last of the Bush Pilots" if you want to know more about it. The dirt runway is around 2400 feet long and the house is still there along with storage sheds.
