  8. FS2004 ATC Update Hall Springfield Aircraft

FS2004 ATC Update Hall Springfield Aircraft. ATC modifications for the manufacturer Hall Springfield (Springfield Aircraft Inc). Robert L. Hall (Bob Hall), who on splitting with the Granville Brothers of Gee Bee racer fame, decided to form his own aircraft company across the Connecticut River from where the Granvilles had their factory. Hall had been the Granville's chief engineer, test pilot and draftsman. But after a dispute with Zantford Granville over race plane design, he decided to go it alone and build his own speed planes. This new company would be known as the Springfield Aircraft, Inc. With two firm orders in his hand, Bob Hall leased a part of the main hangar at Bowles Agawam Field where work started in 1932 on the two Hall racers Cicada and the Bulldog Work began virtually simultaneously on the two race planes. The first was built on order from Flank Lynch, a wealthy sportsman. Lynch expected to fly this high wing plane around the world in a record attempt. It was the larger of the two Hall designs and seated two people in a staggered side-by-side arrangement the Cicada. The second design was a single seat race plane with a high gull wing was the Bulldog named by the chief sponsor Marion Price Guggenheim after the Yale University mascot. 14. FS2004/FSX Models Requiring Completion

FS2004/FSX Models Requiring Completion. The zip contains screen shots from FS2004 of models built and painted mainly since ceasing commercial work with Alphasim/Virtavia a few years ago. Whilst the majority satisfy personal requirements most do not include virtual cockpits (not a personal requirement!) and probably need their flight dynamics etc. tweaking. The author should be happy to make files available to developers genuinely interested in completing the models to release standard. Most models were built using FSDv3, earlier ones v2. 19. FS2004 Call Sign--GAL 38 Fleet Shadower

FS2004 Call Sign--GAL 38 Fleet Shadower. The G. A. L. 38 Fleet Shadower was a British long-range patrol aircraft design just before the breakout of the Second World War. The Fleet Shadower was an aircraft that was needed to fill a special tactical role, its concept produced an ungainly and unsuccessful machine. The specified performance of a successful design was a speed of 38 knots at 1, 500 feet for not less than six hours. The design would also have to be able to operate from an aircraft carrier flight deck and thus the use of a folding wing configuration for easier deck storage. It would have to give good views for the observer and be quiet at cruising speed. By Mike Stallwood.
