FS2000/FS2002/CFS2 Myasishchev (Mya) M-50 'Bounder'. Soviet Intercontinental bomber design of the late 50s. The M-50 had a radical design with two of its four engines mounted on the tips of its large forward delta wing. Flight tests revealed major problems and the program was cancelled. Great what-if addition to your Cold War hangar. Alpha (Alphasim) freeware release. Aircraft has bare-metal finish with USSR insignias (no s/ns or other markings). 2002/CFS2 effects included.

FS2000/CFS Luftwaffe P-47D-22

FS2000/CFS Luftwaffe P-47D-22. A repaint of the default CFS P-47D aircraft painted in gray camouflage. The aircraft was captured by German forces and repainted in Luftwaffe markings plus serial number T9 for flight performance evaluation by the Aerodynamische Versuchsanstalt (AVA=Aerodynamic Test Institute). The plane was discovered by US forces in the AVA hangar on Goettingen airfield together with parts of a P-51 Mustang, after Goettingen and the airfield were occupied on April 8th, 1945. Aircraft still includes original bullet holes in tail section. All flight surfaces are moveable. Includes transparent cockpit, retractable landing gear. Goettingen T9-plane repaint by Matthias Heinzel. Basic Luftwaffe repaint by Bob Bongiovanni.

Model correctly follows geometry, aerodynamics and painting of the original and has been built using a completely new technique created by the author. Livery is a compilation of the elements separately used on Russian planes in mid-1990's. Derived from the three-seater Levasseur PL4 of the Naval Aviation, the PL8 "White Dove" was especially built by the firm of Pierre Levasseur for the route Paris to New York, envisaged by Charles Nungesser and Francois Coli. For the achievement of the flight, the fuselage was widened in order to be able to placed in "coast at coast" the pilot and the navigator, the hull was redrawn, the two front places were removed in order to be able to install the three enormous tanks and to thus carry the capacity of fuel necessary ror the long crossing envisaged.
