FS2000/CFS Luftwaffe P-47D-22. A repaint of the default CFS P-47D aircraft painted in gray camouflage. The aircraft was captured by German forces and repainted in Luftwaffe markings plus serial number T9 for flight performance evaluation by the Aerodynamische Versuchsanstalt (AVA=Aerodynamic Test Institute). The plane was discovered by US forces in the AVA hangar on Goettingen airfield together with parts of a P-51 Mustang, after Goettingen and the airfield were occupied on April 8th, 1945. Aircraft still includes original bullet holes in tail section. All flight surfaces are moveable. Includes transparent cockpit, retractable landing gear.
