Unique, French, and fast -- the Mudry CAP 231EX is one of six in the world, and the only one in the U.S. The wings were built by Walter Extra exclusively for Mudry and the 231 airplane. The 231EX has a roll rate in excess of 400 degrees per second. It is powered by a Lycoming IO-580 engine producing 330 horsepower to a high-tech 4-blade Hartzell Kevlar propeller. Includes full moving parts instrument panel, virtual cockpit with transparent canopy. Plane by Mikko Maliniemi. Panel by Jason L. Terry. Converted to FS98 works by George Csillag.

A very successful design with excellent handling characteristics, powered by 2x240 hp Argus inverted 8-cylinder engines. Variants include WWII trainer, reconnaissance, ambulance, courier and VIP units, post-war passenger and air-photography planes, meteorological observers, and crop dusters. 1668 FW58 were built in total, of which 319 were exported. 200-300 were also built under license in other countries.
