   FSX Scenery--RAF Humberston, UK. RAF Humberston is located on the north east coast of Lincolnshire and was one of the Chain Home Low (CHL) which was the name of a British early warning radar system operated by the RAF during World War II. The name refers to CHL's ability to detect aircraft flying at altitudes below the capabilities of the original Chain Home radars, where most CHL radars were co-located. CHL could reliably detect aircraft flying as low as 500 feet (150 m). The official name was AMES Type 2, referring to the Air Ministry Experimental Station at Bawdsey Manor where it was developed, but this name was almost never used in practice. By Terry Boissel.

   FSX Scenery--RAF Strubby. RAF Strubby was located south east of the Lincolnshire Wolds town of Louth and south of the village from where the station got its name. Opening in early 1944 the station lead a varied aircraft career being used by the USAAF as well as the RAF during the time it was operation. 3. FSX Scenery--RAF Wellingore

   FSX Scenery--RAF Wellingore, UK. This is an interpretation of the fighter station RAF Wellingore, in Lincolnshire. A little poetic licence has been used in placing the 8 L type blister hangars and the small technical area to the northwest of the airfield. Initially, Wellingore opened during the first world war in 1917.I am guessing that it was used by the Royal Naval Air Service as it was the relief landing ground for Training Establishment Cranwell. With the onset of World War II the unit under went improvement works gaining the concrete peritrack and 6 e type fighter pen and 8 type L blister hangars. A number of squadrons serviced at the station before it final closure 1945. This scenery attempts to reproduce the unit as it may have looked during its war years but as photographs are scarce some of it may not be true to life. By Terry Boissel.

   FSX Scenery--RAF Ludgord Magna, UK. RAF Ludford Magna was a Royal Air Force airfield operated by Bomber Command during the Second World War and the Cold War. The station lay on agricultural farmland immediately south of the village of Ludford, Lincolnshire and was sited 21.4 miles (34.4 km) northeast of the county town of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The remains of the station can be seen from the B1225 Caistor High Street, and the long distance footpath the Viking Way passes right next to the eastern perimeter track. It was the highest bomber airfield in England at 428 feet (130 m) above sea level. The station was used for Avro Lancaster bomber operations in the latter part of the Second World War the station was placed on care and maintenance until the mid-1950s when it was reactivated as a Cold War base for Thor intermediate range ballistic nuclear missiles (IRBMs). The station closed in the early part of the 1960s and has been mostly dismantled and returned to agricultural uses. By Terry Boissel.

   FSX Scenery--RAF Sutton Bridge, UK. RAF Sutton Bridge was located just outside of the town from where it takes its name and was used primarily during the summer months as a small temporary airfield close to the Wash were aircrew could practise their gunnery skills during the mid 1920s. With the on-set of WWII the unit became more of a permanent station. The station was used by a few squadrons before returning in effect to its training role when it became No 6 OTU (later No 56 OTU). The airfield remain MOD property until the late 1950s when it finally closed. The land has been returned to agricultural use. By Terry Boissel.

This file has only been tested with FSX: Steam Edition although it should most definitely work with the box edition.
