    • Let's hope this new sim is BETTER than the one we got - Some things STILL don't work right with the current!
    • They came out of the office right quick to see me flash past!  🙂     Yes it was!  I have been almost there a few times in the past, (all in flight sim, of course) but it was great to finally complete the circumnavigation!  🙂
    • Nope, nary a single Reply regarding our 'issues'. Until then, we're buggering on in both the Nine and FSX Forums, just little stuff at the moment. 🙂
    • Great stuff Melo, I bet they LOVED the fast low pass down the runway, a lot faster than I managed in 'Austral Rose'! And the Avian guys will have been SERIOUSLY impressed too ,a bit more horsepower than a Lycoming.   Well done of completing the circumnavigation, it's a great feeling when your wheels make that final touch down, isn't it?   Regards Kit
    • I enjoyed the shots.  As an old H-46 pilot who also had some H2P hours in H-34s I'm always interested in the new ride.  Having said that, the Osprey doesn't seem to be very well respected as of late.   I was scheduled to go for a ride in one during the Ky. Derby Festival a couple of years ago.  Sadly that got shut down because of the Covid issues.
    • Did you ever have a reply?   I see Club Chachapoya (CCCP!?) is alive and well and mooting a short challenge in NZ but there's still nothing in the club pages. Is that because members still can't post?   Inadvertently giving this a bit of a bump...   D
    • Training mission from Haneda. RJTT   Still in Japan 🙂   Vertcal takeoff. A must !   No bridges today .   View of Tokyo city.   https://store.flightsim.com/pizzagallich-_bymfg_97-4-1.html
    • Boeing 737 MAX 8 Ryanair (EI-HGZ)  taxing (Close up and greetings from the kind crew) and takeoff at Manises Valencia Airport (VLC) with ATC audio included runway 12
    • If anyone is still looking for the scenery utility "Airport for Windows", please do not follow the link above — the web site "Free Flight Site" is now defunct and the link will take you to a malware page. Fortunately the Sim Outhouse people have generously archived the whole site and you can access it here: https://www.sim-outhouse.com/freeflight/Design.html By the way, "Airport for Windows" was superceded by the "SceneGenX" (made by the same author).
    • What a wonderful concept!!  I'll join up ASAP in my Spitfire!  I just hope I can cure the bug that kept me from posting flights recently!!   Michael
    • Between May 25th and June 6th, Europe will celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings.   Already aircraft are making their way to North Weald to kick off the celebrations with practice parachute drops on the 25th and 26th of May. They will the go to Duxford for the 1st and 2nd of June, culminating in the crossing of the English Channel on the 2nd of June to land at Cherbourg.   The fleet will then attend various events in Normandy from Cherbourg, between the 3rd and the 9th of June.   An early arrival at Duxford from Berlin, to where it will return for Berlin 75 celebrations, is the ex Aigle Azur Dakota, F-GEFX. Claude Marx is Captain with Crassus Terrani as co-pilot.   The Ailes Veterans C-47, with Lottie Vincent and Erasmus Fuller at the controls, is stuck at Saint Yan with electrical problems. However, a campus of the Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile is located in Saint Yan, so they should be on their way shortly.   The ex Pan World Airways DC-3, with Joseph King as PIC and Wally Cassell in the right hand seat, is in at Coventry with an engine problem. Coventry was the base for the Air Atlantique Dakota fleet, so again they should be back in the air soon.   The Sirrus Aviation Dakota, KG836, is at Amiens having delivered some Veterans on their way to the World War One Memorial at Thiepval. With Sean Beckett as PIC, and myself in the right hand seat, we should be back in the UK in lots of time for the celebrations.
    • Hi gang. Question I wanted to float to the group. I'm very particular about my sound files. I've built unique ones for each aircraft. I have a great one for P&W 757s. BUT, I notice on the TDS 757, the "groan" as it were, i.e. the sound it makes when they engine is full power and you're sitting in front of the engine, takes an unrealistic amount of time to kick in. I used the same sound set in other plane models and it took half as long. So I did a study: I used a panel that shows engine rpms. And I noticed it took the TDS 757 25 seconds to hit 90 rpms, it took another 757 model only about 13. So my question is, what in the aircraft config can u adjust how quickly the plane gets to higher rpms. The jet_scalar is set to 1.2 on both models. So I'm wondering is it's another setting. This is only important cause the quicker I get to the higher rpms the more realistic the sound set. I will post similar question on TDS facebook but was curious as to whether any of my partners here had any insight.
    • Yes, I have the "Battle of Britain Spitfire" and it's very easy to bend the prop.  It's much closer to the deck than any RW single engine fixed wing's prop that I ever flew.
    • Hello fellow simmers ! I recently installed FS2000pro on a Win98/Pentium3 machine and am surprised by the excellent graphics compared to FS98 and high frame rate. So far I've installed the German Airports 1-3 for FS2000 as well as a few Fs98 sceneries for Berlins new Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, Zurich and some others, wich work very well in FS2000. Unfortunately, I cannot find a scenery for Berlin-Tempelhof, wether freeware or payware, for FS2000. Does anybody know if there's a good scenery for this airport in FS2000 available ? Does anyone know if there's a German Airports 4 for FS2000, wich contains Tempelhof ? Any help is appreciated...   Kind Regards, Hakan
