Aerocondor Colombia flight 125 is a Lockheed L-188A Electra on a flight from Bogota, Colombia to Cali, Colombia (SKBO - SKCP). We have 800 gallons of fuel on board for the 175 NM, flight. There will be light cloud cover for the entire flight. Our cruising altitude will be 18,000 feet.

1. Aerocondor timetable effective June 1, 1970.

 

 

2. Flight plan filed and passengers boarding.

 

 

3. Hatches buttoned up, cockpit checks completed and engines started.

 

 

4. Taxiing to 13L for departure.

 

 

5. Takeoff and packing up the gear.

 

 

6. Turning on course for Cali.

 

 

7. Climbing through 11,000 feet out of Bogota.

 

 

8. Now at 14,000 feet approaching the foothills of the Colombian Andes.

 

 

9. We are cruising at 18,000 feet at the halfway point of our flight.

 

 

10. We are 45 NM from Cali and expect to begin our decent shortly.

11. Thirty NM from Cali we are descending over the Western range of the Colombian Andes.

 

 

12. Having passed over the top of the range we are descending through 14,000 feet and turning to intercept our approach to Calipuerto airport.

 

 

13. We continue to descend through 12,000 feet.

 

 

14. At 15 NM from the airport we make a final turn to line up our approach.

 

 

15. Descending through 7,000 feet over the Cauca Valley.

 

 

16. Lined up on short final with gear down and flaps full.

 

 

17. Nearing the threshold.

 

 

18. Touchdown.

 

 

19. Heading to parking at the terminal.

Absolutely outstanding series of shots and narrative Larry. :cool::cool::cool: The L188 is one of my favories. Spent many happy hours flying Libardos excellent model in FSX. :pilot: Have so far been unsuccessful in porting either it or the Team KBT version over to FS2020. :(
