Is it just me?

For the past few weeks, it takes a long time to access any of the forums/messages, etc., here. I am on a cable 60mbs connection. I get great page loading speeds everywhere but here.

Anybody else having slow connection speeds? I've deleted cookies, etc., and nothing seems to help.

Just curious.

Thanks,

Darrell

It's seemed normal to me, but there have always been occasions of slow access, though they don't normally last long, usually just as if there were a brief busy burst on the servers.

The only issues I have lately is warnings about "certificate security" but I just ignore them.

Maybe your virus or malwares protection is fussy about those.

I'm on fiber at 80mbs-in/30mbs-out but don't think it make a difference for "browsing".

Yes.......YES.....YES!!

It has been slow going between threads, forum and when trying to leave this site for my home page or AVSIM. I was also having the same problem uploading screenshots when using the "Select Files". I had to resort to the "Basic uploader".

It's much faster this morning, but still the same problem with screenshots. This seems to happen or at least coincide with the updates Rick does to the site.

Everyone hang on! Let's see how this pans out!

We have been looking into everything since we started this Monday am.

We are working at a furious pace to get all the problems resolved. It may

not seem like it on this side of the board, but there is a lot of work going

on our side. Our vBulletin software was not written to be run as https so

there is a lot of work. We also have multiple plugin vendors whose code

has to play well with others. If we want to play well with others, we have

to abide by the current security and protocols of the Internet and keep our

systems updated and secure. I apologize for the problems and am personally

working as long as it takes.

You should change all your bookmarks to use https:// rather than http://

Thanks for the update, Rick. Appreciate the info and, especially, the work you folks do behind the scenes. You've described a nightmare of getting things to play nice with each other, and since the site has been doing well (even if slow for some), you obviously are doing it very well indeed -- thanks.

Rick,

As others have said, thanks for the hard work. Just knowing that there is a problem and it is being addressed makes it a whole lot easier to wait out the final results. Take good care.

Great work on the SSL changeover, it's going very smoothly from here in the UK. I have an Android tablet that can't establish a secure connection yet, but first things first - give that squirrel another Guinness!

Still a little squirrely here, though. No problem with connection on my Android tablet, I's just a tough monkey typing on it!

Looks like wolf2 is having issues with profiles and I just noticed when clicking on "New Posts" I'm getting about 5 or 6 pages worth instead of the last 24 hrs. worth. I think this, besides the amount of folks on the system is causing delays moving around on the site.
