  1. FSX is a software eager in ressources, far to be "low specs". Especially if you push the graphics settings high. I suggest to try with lower settings and increase level of details up to the limit of your system. And lock your frame rate at 30 fps. Search in the forum for articles about that
  2. I use the Saitek panel switch and the de-ice switch will act as carb heater in most GA planes. Very useful when you fly in cold or at high altitude.
  3. I think that the idea of Saitek to put a switch is not too bad. The only problem is that the flaps are close or full open. We get use to it. In real life, or in the sim, if you sit in a C182 look on the right of the center column for the up and down lever.
  4. Maybe a "zooming" factor. When we are close of an aircraft and we zoom in, we pass through or advance forward in the textures.
  5. Hi John, how does it happened ? Was it a message from FS or windows ? Check if your memory sticks are OK (lock-in). And yes, those mem GSkill have good reputation
  6. Mr Zippy is right. You NEED to use rudder for flying an helo. The "synchro" habit of using collective and rudder is an essence for rotary flying.
  7. It seems that you unzipped it twice. The first line "looking" a copy of the second line. Anyway, just right click on the second line and execute as administrator, it should start the install routine. When done, make sure the new scene is active in the FSX library.
  8. Well, I will wait for a "MSFS + Acceleration" in a couple of years...
  9. I stick with FSX too... To much $ invested in the last ten years; All ORBX basics + all FTX regions in NA + add-ons airport + twenty A2A, Carenado/Alabeo GA aircraft and, like many of us, hours and hours of learning and tweaks & tuning, fooling with NVIDIA Inspector and Steve's DX fixer to get the most of FSX and the right balance between graphic details and fps on his dedicated system. But, more important, I am very happy and satisfied with my FSX set-up and hours of enjoyment still to come...
  10. Superbe de belle région à survoler. Et beau graphique fluide. Merci pour la balade Michel Dan
  11. ... and what kind of flight controls... yoke or stick ?
  12. That kind of comment can only come from USA... While you better stick to this forum Kevin, dveswans is welcome to make his third post in eleven years in the FSX forum !
