Is it possible to make helicopters AI? I had made chinook's AI in FS2004, but they used the runway. Can helicopter AI use the landing pad in FSX?

I think I got this to work. There is a file called dll.xml in the same folder as fsx.cfg. There are other files with a similar name. I backed up those files and opened them with Notepad++ and used Everything.exe to look for the DLL entries that may or may not exist and found a few that didn't exist so I deleted those entries. I was then able to update FSUIPC and it now shows up in the addons menu and it appears I have to start FSXSave.exe in the modules folder while in game. But reading this I think I can add those entries to the dll.xml file to auto load FSXSave. I think the reason why FSXSave didn't write that entry to dll.xml was because the program expected FSX to be under the programs files folder and my install is under C:\\

Anyone else have some insight?

Then something is out of place here. I don't know what. Should I remove both service packs and try a repair install? Is that going to mess up my FSDreamTeam and Flightbeam installs? I also have a module or dll installed that fixes the blurry cockpit when it rains. Will that get over written?

I tried to install FSXSave. It wanted by default to install to the programs folder where FSX would be into the modules folder, but I have FSX in the root of C:\\. So I changed the install path to C:\\FSX\modules\FSXSave. I started the Sim and the module under Addons wasn't there. I uninstalled and then reinstalled to C:\\FSX\modules\ directly. Same result. I don't know if FSUIPC is installed either. I don't use a registered copy, but shouldn't I see its module under Addons? What's funny is that I have a few FSDreamTeam and FlightBeam airports installed and its DRM (or whatever you call it) module is installed under the Addons option at the top menu. So I don't understand why FSXSave and FSUIPC doesn't show up. I know I installed SP1 and SP2. But how can I confirm FSX is indeed updated to SP2? Any and all help appreciated.

Flying the ILS manually in 1/4 visibility. Not too easy.

When I made Area-51 for FS2004 (my own personal use) I had small desert strip airports around it that had UFOs take off and do touch and gos. Added to the whole "Area-51 experience."

That's better than flying at night to Salt Lake City via Denver and about 50 miles until approach discover a 25 thousand foot mountain tower near your plane. LOL

How did you recruit the flight attendants? LOL And are you a real world pilot? I think I practically have the voice set memorized.

I've used your add-on for years. In FS2004 and now FSX. I have always wondered about the voices. Is that you? And I notice that the flight attendants say something about smoking. HAHA Was this recorded in the 80's? I had a sound set for FDSFX that was for South West. It was really funny, as are South West flight attendants. But now I don't know what it's called anymore. I'd like to use that in the PMDG 737NGX once I purchase it. I had it in the PMDG 737 in FS2004. Could you use two sound sets with this add-on? I'm not sure if you can. I even had an awesome gauge that I fine tuned that would make call outs automatically based on radar height and speed. For the life of me I can't remember it's name now either. I had it in my PMDG B1900D. Was fantastic, except if you were a few thousand above mountains it would play the "prepare for landing" bit which wasn't the case. HAHA Should have had some XML in there for when the LOC came alive and the radar ALT was at a certain level. That would offer redundancy.

I use it in my Lear 45. But it isn't black like what is shown. I have FSPanel Studio. I could edit your panel config and add the gauge. But I need to know what plane. Then I need to know if you use 3D or 2D cockpit so I can place the gauge icon.

With my latest thread about VTOL commercial aircraft I would create a product line in addition to the other aircraft you could buy called, "the future hanger." Where you could purchase concept aircraft and aircraft being used by companies trying to market space travel.

Sounds like I would need to form a LLC or INC and get some investors, and come up with good ideas for a return profit. Like I did mention, I would sell addon aircraft, scenery and airports. This really is all just a pipe dream. But If I had won the lotto and had the start up capital I'd do it. Simming is all I got.

Don't need to win the lotto to do that. But the current FAR, as it stands now precludes me from flying. So a Sim is all I got and as close to flying as I can. I don't even think I could fly a crop duster.

I invested a lot in FS2004. It's a massive 55GB on two back up HDDs right now. But my main sim as of now is FSX.

I've used Flightaware's plates when I flown in VATSIM, but I go to airports that are small and remote. I need to know where to park otherwise after I save and come back to the spot I was at I can't contact tower or clearance since the Sim wants you to park in the spot they designate. So I really need to have progressive taxi to work. I do write down the last two or three taxiways that ground gives me in preparation for a missing segment which happens sometimes. But at KLAX for example the progressive line disappeared prior to getting into the parking spot and I had no idea where they wanted me. So I just had to end the flight without save and when I took off again from KLAX I had to create a flight from there. Really pissed me off to have to do that. I've been saving my flights since Thailand. Made it all the way across the Pacific from Guam, Wake Island, Midway, Hawaii and then finally Los Angeles.
