  1. It's been a while since I logged in to the forums. Lo and behold this is the first thread I read. Thanks Zippy! I'm glad Sir Peerhoven did't give you the complimentary nose punch for such a great find :P
  2. Hope you got the AS16 worked out. The latest version caused cloud popping in my system. Reverted to the previous version until HiFi works out the issue. At any rate, I was in Bismark 2 weeks ago after all of the snow. At least you had seemingly clear skies to BIS...which is unusual this time of year in that part of the country.
  3. Outstanding Kirk! Happy you enjoyed the ride in the Stearman. I got my first ride in a Stearman almost 20 yrs ago. I liked it so much that the owner asked if I wanted to get a check out on the airplane. Of course I didn't pass it up. The owner of the airplane was from a neighboring state and wanted to keep it in Tenn. for a while and told me that I could fly it any time I wanted to as long as I kept fuel in it. Do you think I passed up the offer? Heck no! I put 40 hours on the 220hp bi-wing baby before the owner reclaimed her. That was a sad day, but i sure had alot of fun flying it.
  4. Very nice pics of the MD-11! I've been on the MD-11 jumpseat many times over the years and never experienced any mechanical delays...until a week ago out of EWR. What a late night that ended up being. APU auto shut down after pushback caused all electrical systems to go out. Multiple faults popped up. Towed back in for 2 hours fix (replaced relays) and another weight and balance after multiple engine runs to clear faults. Second push back attempt there was a autobrake inop message. Oh boy. Had to get a deferral. We didn't touch down in MEM until 0315 a.m. In spite of the issues, the MD-11 sure is a fine work horse. That's why I love flying the PMDG MD-11 in the sim. Many of the real MD-11 jockeys I get the pleasure of riding with don't mind sharing fine points about this magnificent beast.
  5. Hey Larry, got a FedEx repaint for this? Not just for P3D but for FSX as well.
  6. What in the wide world of aviation sport is that thing?? Haha, kidding! Carry on Sir Peerhoven
  7. Beautimus pics of the old 140! I came close to buying a pristine 180 a couple of years ago and am glad I didn't go through with the purchase. After all, my new address would have been Cessna 180 Dr. @ hangar# whatever...haha!
  8. That was the problem. Carenado didn't put the direct link in my account immediately after purchase. Refer back to my original post about the purchase confirmation page disappearing almost immediately after purchase. That is why I went through several days of haggling with Carenado to prove via bank records that Carenado pinged my bank account on each purchase but wouldn't send me the link or place the link in my account for several days. Carenado eventually told me they thought that a "pending" purchase meant the bank declined the transaction. I had to remind them for a 3rd time that if a "pending" transaction meant that it was declined, then I wouldn't have been able to make purchases locally or at other software resellers. It was silly. Pending meant that the bank simply had not permanently posted the transactions yet. At any rate, I won't be buying direct from them anymore since I will likely go through this hassle each time. Not worth it. Will instead buy via Flightsim.com or Simmarket.
  9. I never had a problem buying direct from Carenado either for 12 different aircraft prior to trying to purchase the F50. I always disable AV before buying any software because I download immediately after purchase. I haven't had any issues purchasing any other software recently except for Carenado. What I didn't mention before is that I checked everything on my end to see if a browser security setting may have changed during an update....nope. Also, after I got Carenado's confirmation page on purchase, a pop up window would appear indicating it is redirecting to another page and then the confirmation page disappeared. Happened quickly before I could click cancel on the redirect pop up. At any rate, Carenado finally got back to me on this last purchase and sent me a download link for the 421C. As indicated in my previous post, I intend to purchase through the pilot shop in the future to avoid all of this again.
  10. That's exactly what I plan to do. @CR, definitely have had no problem with buying direct from Carenado until purchasing the F50 after its release. I figured it was a one time issue but I was wrong. Oh, well, we all live and learn through these experiences. From now on I'll buy from the pilot shop and forgo the Carenado hassle.
  11. Folks, I don't know what it is with Carenado, but the last 2 purchases I have made have been nothing short of a pain in the butt. Bought the F50 a couple of weeks ago but the confirmation page disappeared, so I couldn't print out the page for proof of purchase. Never got a download link. Sent in a support ticket and eventually had to send them a portion of my bank statement to show the Carenado purchase. Of course I didn't show them sensitive information...just the Carenado purchase. After 3 days, I finally got the download link. Well, yesterday I purchased the 421C and the same issue happened. The confirmation page would not print out, so I jotted down the confirmation#, authorization code, etc, then the confirmation page poofed out of site. I sent Carenado a support ticket with the confirmation page information, but now they are saying that the transaction failed...even after I spent part of the day verifying the funds did in fact go to Carenado. I've done everything I did previously, so I don't get what Carenado is trying to do here. There are certainly the funds in my account! I even confirmed the transaction with my bank (as stated earlier). At any rate, I've never had this much difficulty in purchasing software from any company...even with Carenado for a number of years... until recently. Perhaps something whacky is happening with Carenado's purchasing system. Who knows. All I know is that it has caused me to chase crap around that I have very little time for these days. Ok, my rant is over :)
  12. Very good job on the repaints! Thank you!!
  13. Thanks for the update...awesome aircraft!
  14. Very nice aircraft and the sounds are incredible
  15. Hi Paul, another favorite repaint! I am enjoying all of the different paint jobs :) One thing about this particular paint is the "Turbine" lettering on the left engine nacelle. It is silverish instead of black like all of the other "Turbine" lettering on the aircraft. Just thought I would point it out. Doesn't look bad at all though!
  16. Beautiful paint job! I grabbed the black and white one,too :) Well done, Paul, and THANK YOU!
