Rolls Royce "Spirit of Innovation" all-electric racer FS98 Rolls Royce "Spirit of Innovation" all-electric aircraft --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fastest all-electric racing aircraft to date, built within the Rolls Royce ACCEL Project (Accellerating the Electrification of Flight), using the record-breaking Reno air-racing champion Sharp Nemesis NXT airframe. The power train comprises three 98% efficiency, direct drive, stacked YASA-750R yokeless, segmented armature, axial-flux electric motors powered by a 750-Volt, 216 KWh battery stack. In November 2021, with 345.4 mph (300 kt), the "Spirit of Innovation" broke the electric aircraft world speed record previously held by the Siemens Extra 300LE, and the best climb record with 202 seconds to 3000 metres. Maximum 5-minute Power is rated at 400 KW (535 Hp), giving 300 Kt top speed, and maximum Continuous power is 373 KW (500 Hp), with 282 kt. Practical endurance is 20 to 30 minutes. Electric power is emmulated in FS98 with a Jet .air file with increased Thrust to obtain high electric motor torque for specified 3000-4000 fpm RoC. A 1-USG Fuel Tank acts as Batteries, with a minimal 6.6 lb weight difference between full and empty charges, and Fuel Consumption is reduced to fit specified endurance. Source .AFX, .PCX and .R8 files includes, as well as functional high-visibility Custom panel for FS98 gauges, with custom bitmaps for engine KW power (N1), RPM (N2), and Battery Charge gauges (Acro Tank) are included. FSX/P3D v3,v4,v5 Seafire MkXV FSX/P3D v3,v4,v5 Seafire MkXV The Supermarine Seafire, was a naval development of the Spitfire, and was the first modern carrier based fighter used by the Royal Navy. The most important change in the Seafire Mk XV was the Griffon engine and the reinforced main undercarriage which used longer oleos and a lower rebound ratio. This went some way towards taming the deck behaviour , reduced the propensity of the propeller tips "pecking" the deck during an arrested landing and the softer oleos stopped the aircraft from occasionally bouncing over the arrestor wires and into the crash barrier. MSFS/FSX/P3D/X-Plane 11 Utility--FSTramp 8.7 This add-on is an EXE application for MSFS and a DLL module for all other simulators. The DLL variant is activated via hotkeys or the simulator menu add-ons or plugins. Window size and layout are configurable for one or more screens. To avoid dazzling, the brightness of the entire application is customizable. Primarily it is a flight management system (FMS) with automatic control from start to landing. This also includes the observance of SID, STAR and Approaches in unmatched quality. The flight plan required for the FMS can be created manually or automatically, interactive changes and additions during the flight are possible. The basis of the flight planner is the 3D world map and the search function for airfields and navigation aids. The FMS by FSTramp relies on the autopilot of the aircraft. In case of incompatibility, the autopilot integrated in FSTramp will be used. This allows FSTramp to control almost all aircraft from airport to airport. The altitude profile of the flight plan, SID, STAR and approach is taken into account. This means that FSTramp extends the often incomplete airport procedures to and from the runway so that they can be flown completely automatically. During the fully automatic flight, the autopilot values ​​for HDG, ALT, VSPEED, SPD and MACH can be manually overridden. This is e.g. useful for being able to react to the instructions of the tower in the final approach without completely stopping the automatic flight. The rotating or north pointing 3D world map with numeric display of the terrain elevation under the mouse arrow is another special feature. It does not need an internet but is synthesized from included height profiles of the globe. The Data of continents, mountains and rivers are included in the setup. Airspaces, Airways, Waypoints and SID, STAR and Approaches are also included in the setup, but can be updated by installing additional AIRAC cycles. FS9 Quesnel CYQZ in British Columbia Canada Updated This is a new upload of Quesnel as the first one was incomplete; my fault. Quesnel is around 65 miles south of Prince George, at the junction of the Fraser and Quesnel Rivers. It has a population of less than 10,000 and is reliant on the timber industry and tourism (hiking, canoeing, fishing, hunting) in the surrounding area for it's income. The date for this scenery is, once again, around 2010. The airport is on the northern edge of the town and has a runway of 5,500 feet aligned 13-31 with PAPI at both ends. Because of the surrounding terrain runway 13 has a right hand VFR circuit. Parking for GA aircraft is organised by the Quesnel Flying Club in a grassed area adjacent to the concrete and asphalt apron. Also adjacent to the apron is the extraordinary terminal building, and next to that is the comparatively very ordinary building that houses the flying club. There are also the usual airfield and plane maintenance buildings, and at the southern end of the runway two private hangars. There is also a Fire Base housing personnel that either drive from the base or fly by helicopter to deal with forest fires at ground level. The AI included here is for Central Mountain Air and GA. I added to and adjusted the CYXS AI so that there are GA flights between CYXS and CYQZ, so just replace your current CYXS AI with this new one. The video gives a good view on runway 13.
