FS2004 1962 Fort Lauderdale Airport Scenery At the start of World War II, the airport was commissioned by the United States Navy and renamed Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale. The base was initially used for refitting civil airliners for military service before they were ferried across the Atlantic to Europe and North Africa. NAS Fort Lauderdale was the home base for Flight 19, the five TBM Avengers that disappeared in December 1945, leading in part to the notoriety of the Bermuda Triangle. NAS Fort Lauderdale closed on October 1, 1946, and was transferred to county control, becoming Broward County International Airport. Commercial flights to Nassau began on June 2, 1953, and domestic flights began in 1958–1959: Northeast Airlines and National Airlines DC-6Bs flew nonstop to Idlewild, and Northeast flew nonstop to Washington National. FS2004 1960s KRDU Raleigh-Durham Airport Scenery The new Raleigh–Durham Airport opened on May 1, 1943, with flights by Eastern Airlines. The passenger terminal was built from materials remaining after the construction of four barracks for the Army Air Forces Air Technical Service Command airfield. After World War II, Capital Airlines joined Eastern at RDU; Piedmont Airlines arrived in 1948. The April 1957 Official Airline Guide shows 36 departures a day: twenty Eastern, eight Capital and eight Piedmont. Nonstop flights did not reach beyond Washington, Atlanta, or the Appalachians (but Eastern started a Super Constellation nonstop to Newark in 1958). By Frank Gonzalez and Paul Young

Scenery for Amon Carter Airport at Fort Worth, Texas, in 1962. This scenery provides new FSDS terminals, taxiways, buildings and details as they were around 1962 for Fort Worth's airport at the time, Greater Ft. Worth Intl. Airport, informally known as Amon Carter Field (renamed Greater Southwest Intl. in 1962). It was later torn down in a continuing feud with Dallas (and their Love Field) after both cities constructed Dallas/Ft. Worth Intl. (DFW) just across the street from Amon Carter Field. This was in response to the FAA stating they would not put another cent into DAL or ACF, as it made no sense to have two major airports so close to each other. By Kristopher Crook and Tom Gibson

FSX P3D Mach Loop Markers: Fast Jets A series of markers around the famous "Mach Loop" in Wales to help sim flyers find and fly the route. The Mach Loop is a series of valleys in the United Kingdom in west-central Wales, notable for their use as low-level training areas for fast aircraft. The system of valleys lies 13 km (8 mi) east of Barmouth between the towns of Dolgellau to the north and Machynlleth to the south, from the latter of which it takes its name. FSX/FSX-SE scenery for KTCC-Tucumcari Muni Airport Tucumcari Muni Airport (KTCC) is located in the NorthEast area of New Mexico (NM), USA and is a publicly owned, public use facility established in August, 1941. KTCC features a 7104 x 100 ft wide lighted asphalt runway with 4 box VASI left side '21' end plus a 4600 x 60 ft lighted asphalt runway in a modified 'X' pattern. the airport is equiped with a lighted wind indicator in a segmented circle and a dusk to dawn land airport beacon. The airport lists 9 home based aircraft - 8 single engine & 1 heli. • CTAF/UNICOM: 122.95 • WX ASOS: 119.275 (KTCC) • Runway: 3/21 - 7104 x 100 ft • 8/26 - 4600 x 60 ft • Field Elevation: 4064.9 Ft My version came about as an attempt to provide a more accurate version of the airports and the surrounding area using the stock FSX scenery with no add-ons.
