I tried running it whilst logged into X-Box Live. No success.

I agree that ga aircraft handle really well. Apart from when reloading the flight and it comes on with no autopilot on and crazy extreme trim settings, sending you crashing into the ground if you can't get the autopilot on quick enough to sort out all the weird trim settings it's given itself. Annoying.

I'm going to investigate this X Box connection.

I was just about to post ! I have exactly the SAME THING ! It ran fine yesterday but I was busy and was looking forward to a full day on it. Got up at 6:00am but can't get past "Press any key to start." Why ? Tried doing Windows updates. Found a more button near it's listing in System - Apps. One said "Repair" and one said "Reset". Did both of those. Uninstalled it and re-installed it again. No difference. I have tried turning it off and on again numerous times. Fed-up.

But when I load it again the auto pilot isn't on and the trims usually airleron or rudder is miles and miles out. Unless you can get the autopilot on quickly enough, you crash. That can't be right.

So Sorry for you. Mine worked just great. After a 16hr 3 minute download time.

My son just pointed out that this is probably 16Gb. Sorry. I am new to such capacities, when I first got my Commodore 64 it had 2 Mb of RAM. And that was more than the combined capacity of my local council at the time.

I see those. I don't thiink they are tree trunks. They look like ancient stone pillars covered with vines. I just showed it to my son. He has recently been to LAs Vegas. He wet his pants and rushed back to his car to go home and buy it.

I never got used to glass screens in FSX. They slowed everything down so much. Glass screens in 2020 aren't a problem at all. And I have only a medium system. Runs great. Even at 120 kt at 500ft. The program tells me I haven't got an adequate system to run it, I run it fine. I am set on medium settings. It looks awesome enough for me that's for sure. Can't take my eyes off it. Win 10 Home 64 bit. i7-3770 16Mb RAM GTX 670 (very slightly overclocked).

For best results, be in a very slow aircraft.

Oh Las Vegas is something. Don't confine yourself to the main drag and the casinos. Get out into the suburbs. Go low. 500 ft. The detail n astounding. And I am only running stuff on medium !

I too have joystick problems. But I am flying round the world. So I need to overcome them. Early this morning drifting up the coast of Northern Australia, with the sun rising through the mist, I just can't take my eyes off this bloody thing. I just can't. My Saitek X52 (which Microsoft recognises) has three right hand rotary settings bringing different colours to the top LED has given me differing results. After 7 hours today I am miles further on than I was. I just love it. Blown away by it. I started flight simming before any of this. Solo Flight and Mail Pilot. A mountain was an inverted black and white triangle. Now I can see my village hall. Just. Just. Just....

Interestingly, people often refer to "a steep learning curve" as something that's incredibly difficult. But it's the opposite. The concept of "learning curve" was invented in the 1930's in the context of improving productivity in the then emerging assembly lines of newly mechanised industry. A learning curve is the time taken to be completely knew to a task to being able to do it competently. So, for example, place a piece of sheet steel into a mould, lower the guard, press a button, take it out again, repeat. That will probably take 2 minutes. That's 0 to 100% in 2 minutes. That's a steep learning curve. But becoming a brain surgeon or a Concorde pilot, that takes at least 8 years. That's a very shallow learning curve. I know you didn't say steep learning curve. You just mentioned a learning curve. Just sayin'.

Understood and totally agree. I have never flown a Citation or anything near it, but I'm sure I could have done a better job than this.

Pipestrella at Las VEgas. The speedbrake says it's off. The engine won't throttle up. It revs and then dies and goes back to idle. And I can't get the parking brake off. I don't know where it is in the virtual cockpit. The program shows me an image of my Saitek X52 and says press button 14. Never mind button 14, I've pressed very bloody button there is and the parking brake won't release. Oh, I found it in the vitual cockpit. It says it's released. I keep releasing it but the aircraft won't move. It's a great aircraft to show my son (who is thinking of buying it) the incredible detail of flying over Las Vegas looking out the low slung side window with a bit of slideslip at low speeds. Pipistrella perfect for this. Won't bloody move. Tried multiple reboots and reloads .
