  1. I have been flight simming since Solo Flight in 1985. I love this. It's full of bugs and it's frustrating, but I can't take my eyes off it. Flying up the cost to Seattle Tacoma this morning in the early morning mist was just, well I never.....
  2. I agree. Some of the flight modelling is a joke. Like the Citation Longitude. That just behaves like a third hand fairground ride. A very dangerous one! But flew the Cessna 152 v low level around Las Vegas today. Truly stunning. I had to keep going to the toilet. And I flew over San Fran at 1:00am. OMG. And it looked and behaved like a 152. Some major bugs though. The Citation has so many I've given up on that. I'm going around the world. Started at Leeds Bradford and got as far as Innsbruck. I'm in a single engined turboprop. Dahar ?
  3. There's no way that flies like a Citation, ever tried to keep it stable under 3000ft ? It seems to want to be doing 300 knots at least otherwise it pitches and stalls. It does crazy thngs. Impressed with the Robin Cadet and the 787 though.......
  4. AAAAAAH got it. I was looking at entirely the wrong thing. I didn't equate a weight symbol to fuel. Obvious now. Thanks all and happy flying.
  5. I can see "Fuel" under the toolbar but it's just an on/off button. There's no slider ? My sons suggested taxiing up to th fuel point but I've done that too and don't get any fuel.
  6. Thanks for your reply. Hopeless. Only get as far as Innsbruk. Can't refuel. Can't figure out a way to do it and keep the same flight going. Hopeless.
  7. I'm trying to fly around the world, but I only ever get as far as Innsbruk. How do refuel ?
  8. Yes I've got problems with my Saitek X52, which worked great on FSX. Without a list of key strokes I can't see how we can use them. Microsoft give me a pictorial guide to which keys and buttons do what but they are all wrong.
  9. I'm going from Leeds Bradford to Melbourne Australia in the Citation Longitude. Then Sumatra, Phillipines, Japan, Kamchatkan Peninsula, Bering Strait, ALaska, Seattle, Mexico, Brazil, S, Africa, Morocco, France and home. Just leaving the rolling vineyards of Provence and can almost maybe see The Alps coming into view. An amazing morning.
  10. Loving it. Can't get anything to work on my Saitek X-52 and can't land because I can't find out how to make the brakes work, but just in love with it....
  11. From a time when we had black and white wire framed graphics and only the top two frames. I am so pleased I lived this long.
  12. Anyone remember Solo Flight ? The 16 hour download time was a shock. It's different. I have got used to the FS keyboard shortcuts over 40 years. None of that works here. FS2020 cleverly recognized my Saitek X52 HOTAS system, but none of the button assignments it told me work. So I haven't really had a clue what I'm doing. I crashed a lot, which is unusual for me in a Microsoft Flight sim. It's been hard work getting a working flight off the ground and stable. I have only flown the Dahar? Dagar? single engined turboprop. It's a stupid plane. Even when barrelling down the runway at 140 knots you can do Formula 1 type turns in it. It seems to have no mass. And it does crazy unexpected things in the air. The elevator trim seems to want to suddenly set itself to extremes, 80% up or 80% down without warning. I have no doubt this will be rectified. Oh and I have flown the Citation Longitude, but can't figure out how to get the auto throttle to work. What does the VNAV button do ? BUT jeez does it look good. I have Win 10 64-bit. i7-3770. 16Mb RAM. and a GTX 670. And it runs smoother than FSX. Honestly. It's like the incredibly expensive photo realistic scenery we used to buy like MegaScenery £80 for just Southern California. and now it's been employed to the entire world. The entire World. I flew to Goole. Reeds Island was on there. I am embarking on a journey round the world in the Citation Longitude. From Leeds. Can't wait to see what Nepal and Tibet look like. And Mongolia. And the Andes. And Rome. Mongolia will be interesting. IN FSX there was just nothing in Mongolia. But I reckon this there may be the odd hut. I flew over Catalina island tonight. In FSX there was nothing there. Just a barren landscape, But in 2020 there were villages and harbours full of yachts. And traffic MOVES on the roads ! All incredibly detailed. All clever stuff. In love. Not going to bed for several days. Getting used to a virtual cockpit. (I bloody knew it would have to come). This makes it come.
  13. I have :- Windows 10 Home 64 bit. Intel i-7 3770 16mb RAM Geforce GTX 670. Will I be able to run it ok ?
  14. Yeah I used to think Train Simulator was really good, just not quite finished. I'm on Train-Sim 2020 now and enjoying it lots. Racked up 2075 hours on it anyway.
  15. Don't do anything. Yet. There are stories of it running on lower spec machines than was thought possible. I'm just going to buy it and then see how it runs on here before going out splashing cash. Early days.
  16. Well, I've decided I have to have it and....... it appears to run ok on fairly medium spec machines. So, I'm just gonna get it and see how it runs on here first before I go off spending loads of money. And I am buying from Microsoft. If you buy from Steam, Microsoft only get 70% of the money. You want Microsoft to continue developing it don't you ? Then give Microsoft ALL the money to allow them to do this. Not 70%.
