The only real concern appears to be for the elderly and it doesn't appear all elderly. Healthy 70, 80, 90 year olds have all recovered from this. The virus has been blown out of all proportion by a panicked public with information spread by dramatized media avenues. In saying this, the measures in place by governments do need to be taken to protect the at risk elderly. While the risk to general human life isn't dramatic, it is dramatic to the group of people at risk with a high fatality rate per infection for them. Edit: Ignore the stats, ignore the ship deaths. You can't take anything from those. Here are the obituary pages from Italy. Many have photos. You can see they are all elderly and they also likely had a medical condition or were under cancer treatments etc. The panic buying and stupidity by healthy people under 60 is ridiculous. These stupid and selfish actions only increase the risk for the people at risk.

All the things old games require to run properly are being changed on Win 10 and they simply will no longer function correctly. With a quick search I could not find a report of anyone running FS2002 on Win 10 without issues. FS2002, FS9, FSX, there are issues with all of them under Win 10 in one way or another or with one add-on or another. Either go with FS9 as it is still more Win 10 friendly or use Win 7/Win XP for FS2002. Win XP would likely be the best option.

The main concerns are for elderly. Many people have this thing and don't ever have any symptoms. Tom Hanks is one. The UK is even playing with a herd-immunity approach considering actually allowing the population to get it. It's a new virus. From everything I've seen so far, unless you are elderly and have respiratory problems you are not in any great danger. Even healthy 80 years olds have come out perfectly fine from the virus. There might be exceptions from what i just stated but there are exceptions where people die of the cold and other ordinary things that don't affect the masses. The only real concern are the idiots out there who have cleaned out the shelves. Most people shop weekly, they already have say a week supply. If you get isolated for 14 days, you only need to buy a little more when it happens. If you get isolated for an extended period, you really think authorities will force people to stay at home with no essential supplies? If you've been stocking up like crazy, you're an a-hole and pure idiot imo. Many of the elderly can't afford to stock up. They can't compete with the rushes in stores. Goes beyond you. We are now in a situation we absolutely should not be in. Pathetic.

Had a 78 Corolla and that didn't get sick either. Cars and people, they don't make'm like they used too. :p

The reason I asked is because if you fly only 2D panels, it makes them blurry so you may prefer not to have it on. I fly 2D panels and don't use external AA. Default FS9 AA and that's it.

Out of curiosity, do you use 2D panels or fly from the VC?

This has me confused. What are GOG suggesting here? Surely not that the game may work today but not tomorrow??? Surely this can't be correct??? The warning is only for Win 10 too! Please be advised that Windows 10 operating system will receive frequent hardware driver and software updates following its release; this may affect game compatibility.

Here, just thought about who I was gonna call! Only one quick example of a potential Win 10 functioning game. Games running DirectX 9 and earlier are all in the Win 10 firing line. Try Call of Duty, maybe some of the Madden games or NHL games, fancy some Colin McRae? How about some Links LS? Far Cry is good, available on GOG too for Win 10! Oh, minus reflections working correctly of course. You need Win XP for that stuff. You also better work out how to go back versions because the GOG version the AI will see you hiding in a tent. Maybe some fun action games like Spidey? He doesn't work either. I always liked Alias from the tv show...nope...not that one either. Just rattling off a few randoms. They are broken for everyone on Win 10. The list continues to grow.

If you want an honest answer, I'm just bored of it.

I have 20-30 games running on my Win XP system that don't work on Win 10 but also worked on every other OS. That's not all the games I have that don't work, just the ones I figure I may want to mess around with at some point in the not too distant future. Most, if not all those games you will find NOBODY can run on Win 10. It's not user specific. It's things like legacy components that are changed or stripped from Win 10 that these games need to function correctly. If you just use and play a couple of games, ignorance very well may play a part. One day "the update" that wipes out FS9/FSX will come along and I'll be fascinated to see the love for Win 10 after it happens. Everyone loves Win 10 while their fav old game works.

Ahem lol...I'm not questioning you...or me...I have FS9 running under Win 10 as well. (thumbs up emoji) I've done all of 3 or 4 flights in Win 10 but already found issues. There are some graphical issues with gauges. This may be my system but it's exactly the type of thing that happens trying to run old stuff on Win 10. May be my graphics card drivers, may be my hardware, regardless, may or may not be possible to find a fix. Then there is FS Recorder, a very popular add-on. Have not found it possible to have it's control window open with FS in full screen mode. Again, have not done a great deal to find a fix yet, be interested to read anyone who can do this on Win 10. Then there are a couple of potential issues with the iFly 737 which I need to explore further before commenting. These things are a typical example of what it is like trying to run old software on Win 10. Just about every old program has problems and you then need to find fixes. Some software has fixes, others doesn't. It's an incredibly frustrating OS to run for old software. You'll never run FS as problem free on Win 10 as you could on Win 7. If anyone suggests they can, they simply haven't used the problem add-ons yet. I'm not stuck to any system. I have Win 10, Win 7 and Win XP. Each PC capable of running FS9. I'm going to use the best choice for FS9 but it certainly is not Win 10.

Except your FS wouldn't start at all under Win 10. So now you have it running under Win XP SP2 compatibility and are telling everyone else to do the same. So that means now your FS itself is a far greater security risk than that of any Win XP SP3 user or Win 7 user. That's how it works. lol
