All that beautiful scenery and no way to make the cockpit go away...that does blow! I like the views in FSX&P3D...not so much in FS 2020. I do not want to spend my time digging through menus is what I'm getting at. I spent a lot of time reassigning a new set of key bindings only to have them disappear for no reason. I bought the Premium Deluxe version....no 787 Dreamliner, why? Yeah its pretty...but she needs a LOT of code work. Right now I am running this Sim on a high end Alien ware laptop..and it does run very smooth indeed. The system I have picked out for later is about 2 grand. I won't spring for that until I see some major improvements in this software. My last gripe is about the sound configuration. So far that is a real bummer also....nobody seems to be able to find a way to add sounds in a consistent manner. Over 20 years the sound system has worked really well...why do we need to lock the files up in a PCK archive? Why? It does not make it sound any better. Aircraft developers are going to have a very tough time with this. It became such a mess in XPlane I stopped working with it long ago. Sound is a very important component of simulation...I don't know what we are going to do for a work around on this aspect of add-on's. It may be my time with this software has come to an end. You know almost all software reaches a point it becomes so outdated it will no longer perform on a current operating system. I loved FS98 also but it may be time for you to move forward with a newer sim. Cheers, Aaron

Well...I just purchased it this last week after the patch was applied. Scenery: Stunning Sky Color: Stunning Rain Snow Dusk Effects: Stunning Menu Functions: Too many layers Sound Quality: Not that good Flight Dynamics: Pretty good Camera Views: A bit complex Load times: A bit lengthy Things Missing: Contrails Touch down smoke No Fly by view No Tower view Keyboard bindings needs work ATC language is kind of goofy sounding Location of the sim on your drive is very (buried) and obscure. Why? Lastly...they compiled the sound for each aircraft into an unreadable Binary that is locked inside a PCK file. Now we have no way to create new sounds for add-on aircraft unless some genius figures a new way to do this. Why make it so difficult for developers? I like the sim itself...and I'm sure it will get better as things are added and fixed; was it ready for release? No! Cheers, Aaron Skysong Soundworks

You just said what I had been thinking for a few months as the videos appeared on YouTube. I am 23 years into FS. I've enjoyed it very much. At this point I am note sure I want to lay out a bunch of buckos for a new system and software this is quite unfinished. When I install electrical for a customer I can't just install half the boxes....it has to be complete. I am going to wait a while and see how this one rinses out. I must say that is beyond disappointing to say the least. I also hear there is not going to be a CD-version for the U.S. market. That is extremely dumb! This may be the end of the road for me and MSFS. Why do they have the ability to always reach out and pick the wrong thing when it comes to a new version of this program? Aaron Skysong Soundworks
