  1. Learning to fly Maryadi's Osprey V.2. Continue to get low fuel warnings in "selected tank"; but, all tanks appear full. Any thoughts? Is there a tank selector that needs to be reset?
  2. Some localizers are offset. This article might be helpful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Localizer_type_directional_aid
  3. Karol, Thank you for the quick advice, Ray
  4. How do you set and utilize the TFR feature that is part of the PFD screen in the GCA gauge?
  5. It's difficult to ignore the tens of thousands of satisfied users of FSX ranging over more than a decade. While I'm no computer expert, if you note your computer specifications, FSX settings and perhaps add a screen shot or two, it's highly likely one of the talented folks here will help you solve your dilema.
  6. Here's an interesting bit of bush scenery here on flightsim.com:: Title: Joe's Outpost File: joesoutpost_v1_0.zip

  8. In my case, running FSReal lite works without FSUIPC installed on both a Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 computer. Both run Acceleration with Service Packs 1 and 2 installed.
  9. In my case, it is started before FSX and must be run as administrator. Then start FSX.
  10. For the Christen Eagle II, try these 2 files which are here on Flightsim.com: ce2_fsx.zip gglass.zip

  12. I believe the more aircraft you have within FSX, the slower the selection process when you go to change aircraft. Overall, with all their varied configurations and paint jobs, I now have nearly 1400.
  13. Of the subject add-ons, which would be the most interesting of the two?
  14. Another way to cut down load times.... For every aircraft, rotorcraft or vehicle I copy the entire file into a folder called FSX Hanger. Then, within FSX I delete all those I don't usually fly. If I want them back, I just copy them back in from the FSX Hanger folder.
  15. Everyone of us has been through the drill of trying to milk a few more fps out of FSX. For starters, try setting your frame rate at one half of your screen's refrfesh rate. As for settings' starting points, don't move any of them further than medium. Worry about smoothness, not frames. Google search for Kostas FSX tweaks guide and AVSIM's Guide, those'll give you a variety of ideas as a starting point. Don't worry about your computer -- none of us have a computer as fast as we'd like to have.
  16. Go online and find one of those simple, one page tourist maps of a major city like London or Paris. You know, the kind of colorful maps that only show the main streets and have little drawings scattered about to show the main couple of dozen tourist attractions. Then, with a copy in hand, fire up your favorite chopper and see how many are portrayed in the flight sim. How many can you find?
  17. Ditto on the kudos. Thank you for your talented effort on this intriguing instrument. Ray Hff
  18. Nicely done. Thank you for sharing the products of your skilful efforts.
  19. For anyone into bush flying, pick up PNG Busch Flying from Islandsim and fly the whole area. When you're ready, land on the strip at Lake Gwam (GWM).
