  1. For example, I have the Iberia and Iberia Express packages installed but I have only 2 Iberia aircraft at Malaga, 1 at Menorca and none at Ibiza.

Before calling the cavalry, did you check if there should be more aircraft at the specific airport at the time you were viewing?

I mean according to the AI flightplan, not according to your intuition...

AIFP has a function to display what aircraft can be expected at a given airport.

    Flight Plans -> Timetable.

The above example (latest AIG schedule) shows only one Iberia Express aircraft a day at Menorca as well.

IMO you're seeing the AI traffic just as it's programmed.

  2. Thats exactly what I have and flightplans still do not show up.

What exactly do you expect to show up?

ShowLabelFlightPlan just shows a small text "DEPT -> DEST" of that AI Aircraft underneath it.

OTOH it could be a combination of stuff.

Have you tried copy/pasting my above [AContain]-section (nothing less/nothing more) into yr FSX.CFG?

  3. These are my entries, showing flightplan is enabled.

  4. But when Screen closes am told:

The FSX SCENERY.CFG orFSX.CFG file(s) could be located at the expected location below:

    C:\Users\paulc\AppData\roaming\Microsoft\FSX\SCENERY>CFG

I haven't followed this thread, but for what's it worth:

even disregarding the propable typo (SCENERY>CFG vs SCENERY.CFG), this is NOT the correct location of the active scenery.cfg.

    The correct location is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\scenery.cfg.

  5. but it should be added automatically, as it did on my previous systems

    This was never the case.

You're probably confusing with adding BGLs to an already active scenery folder, like Addon Scenery\scenery.

In that case it's added automatically.

Can it be that because I am on a Dutch W10 version this is causing issues?

No, first because it's not an issue (see above), second because I have that W10 version myself.

Another question, while I am at it: What goes first in the scenery library, LC or the scenery itself?
Landclass gets lower priority (HIGHER scenery priority number) than the scenery itself (LOWER scenery priority index).

  6. Umm, how would that be a violation of copyright? I'm wanting to get the 777 from FS2004 into FSX. Both are Microsoft products. Please explain how that is copyright infringement....very interested to hear your answer.

I own both versions, just wanting to dump the aircraft file from 2004 to FSX, if that's a possibility.

I understood from your first post you were searching for a download, as you didn't mention owning the older versions until now, after almost a year(!).

You may as well have bought them in the meantime.

Hence my answer, which I still endorse.

  7. Also, you need a 32 or 64 bit version of uiautomationcore.dll...

Misleading at least. Lots of probably correct but redundant information.

First, if the UIAutomationCore.dll thingy is missing, it causes a CTD, not a freeze.

Second, the UIAutomationCore.dll needed to "fix FSX" is from the Windows Vista era, therefore always 32 bit. It goes in your root FSX folder.

The UIAutomationCore.dll that comes with your OS (32 or 64 bit) resides in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64. They should stay there. If there are problems with these DLLs, one should be visiting another than this FSX forum.

@OP: I'm pretty sure the freezing is NOT caused by UIAutomationCore.DLL. Try lowering your settings.

  8. Thanks for the info. Yes to the Addon Scenery/scenery folder. Regret FSX still does not display the file. Perhaps its is a quirk...

    a) check if Addon Scenery is somewhere in the Scenery Library list

    b) if not, add it. Here you'll experience the W7 add scenery bug in FSX (on all systems from W7 on)

    For details: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?205432-Windows-7-Scenery-Addon-Installation-Bug-Fix

    c) once step b has been applied, simple adding more BGLs to Addon Scenery\scenery will make them active

  9. What makes you think the CTDs are caused by one of those drivers?

IMO they can all remain enabled.

Realtek drives the Mobo sound chip (and whatever's connected to the Mobo output connectors).

Nvidia driver allows to pass sound through HDMI or DisplayPort to built-in speakers in the monitor.

SoundBlaster driver is for whatever is connected to the separate sound card.

You know best what's connected to what output.

  10. I've tried each one but as soon as I select GPS and APP the aircraft turns and appears to be heading back in the direction of SIN. Can someone tell me how to do this, please?

That's because the active leg in the GPS is still at the first leg.

Before activating AP GPS you need to move the active leg.

"From the Active Flight Plan page, press the CRSR button to activate the cursor.

Rotate the large knob to highlight the desired destination waypoint.

Press the MENU button, select the "Activate Leg?" option, and press the ENT button. (GPS 500 only)"

(although I must have done this a hundred times already, I had to copy/paste the procedure from somewhere on this forum)

  11. Metal2Mesh Mirage 2000C can be found/bought at SimMarket.

Converting a DCS model to FSX would be illegal without the permission of the developer.

Vous pouvez trouver le Metal2Mesh Mirage 2000 sur SimMarket.

La conversion des modèles DCS vers FSX sans authorisation du développeur est considéré comme piratage.
