  1. I have 4 flyable B727's. I've installed a panel titled B727-2 in all 4. It's an FSX panel from Perfect Flight. Two of the aircraft fly perfectly on a/p but the 2 others have issues tracking Heading mode. The 2 aircraft bank one way, then the other, either side of the set Heading, rolling further each time until they fall from the sky. I can't see it's a panel cfg problem if it works fine on 2 aircraft but I've scanned through both the rogue aircraft's cfg files to see if I can spot something likely to affect them. I'm afraid I don't know enough about the config files so can anyone suggest what parameter might cause this to happen? Many thanks. Allan
  2. Hi John. At long last I sorted the problem with my B727's. I looked in the texture folder for a thumbnail. And I found it, of course, so I thought it couldn't be that, that was causing my issue. I checked the file and it was, in fact, a jpg file, which is what it should be. But then I decided to open it in Ifanview and re-save it. And lordy, lordy, I have a flying aircraft. But haven't sorted my DC9's out, so onto that problem next. Thank you for your input. It will be useful. Allan
  3. Thank you Brian. Yes, I was aware of the parameters for parking aircraft and used them when designing my AFCAD files. However, I wasn't aware that AI aircraft are treated somewhat differently. Thank you for that. Allan
  4. Ho Jorgen. Yes, I used ADE to create the revised airports. Have to have a think about AIFP. As I understand it, AIFP is not active with FS so I can't see how it could park a new heavy arrival in the correct place. Or, to put it another way, if a number of, say, 320's arrive and park there would ne nothing to prevent them from parking in heavy stands. So, there could still be vacant small stands but the heavy stands might be already filled with small aircraft. Am I wrong? My method ensured, as far as was possible, that small aircraft didn't use bigger stands leaving them always vacant for heavies. I'll give it some mmore thought. Regards, Allan
  5. Hi. I don't know if this thread has passed it's sell by date. I haven't posted anything further because I've got on top of everything and up and running at speed. But I just wanted to tie up loose ends by asking Jorgen, in particular, was it you that suggested I upload and flightplans I create myself? I've created a number but none that I would want to upload just yet. Have to sort aircraft out. At the moment I'm having to duplicate aircraft in use. However, I've found a number or AFCAD files I created about 8 years ago for a number of airports. They correct, in many cases, the errors in default and addon scenery with regards to the number and type of parking. I've shuffled parking spaces so that by and large, you don't get an A320 parked where a 747 ought to be. I've also rehashed, as far as possible (there are practical limitations) the layout of airports. Gatwick for example NEVER uses 08L and 26R for takeoffs and landings (except for one commercial flight a few years ago that landed there in error). In FS, for example, the numbers and headings of the stands are wrong. I've corrected them to be as close as possible to Aerad charts. I'll upload these in one zip file in the near future. Please check them out. Thank you, and others, for all the help you gave me. Allan
  6. I've been trying to install a couple of DC9's but getting the error in the title above. I know this is a very old problem but having read back the problem was never really resolved. At least, not in my case. Yes, they're FS2002 models but alongside these I have another FS2002 DC9 which functions perfectly. I also have a number of other FS2002 models (an ATR42, for example) but these DC9's are the only ones I'm having problems with. Why am I using FS2002's I hear you asking. It's because I want to populate my Spanish airports with Iberia and Aviaco aircraft of that vintage and there are precious few of those around built for FSX or even FS2004. So it's Hobson's choice. Now here's the conundrum, my DC9 that works is a SGA model but the ones that don't are VANS. BUT, on checking, I find the model file in the SGA aircraft is actually the same model file that's in the VANS aircraft. All the rest of the components, panel, air file, etc, etc seem to be ok. I have thumbnails in the texture folders. Does anyone know the answer, please? Many thanks. Allan
  7. Hi. The reason for 2 x B727's is that all the ai packages have very few Iberia aircraft at airports I use quite a lot, eg, Malaga, Gerona, Palma de Majorca and Girona, so I'm steadily creating my own. So I'm constantly looking out for additional aircraft to avoid having a multiplicity of aircraft with the same Registration being parked next to each other. Wherever possible I also like to fly the aircraft. So fas as the panels are concerned, the A/P on the B727 is ungainly whereas the panel with the gauge issue is nicer and easier to use. Normally I wouldn't mind just swopping the odd gauge from one panel to another but in this case it's almost rvery gauge. So frustrating. Oh well, try another, I suppose. Allan
  8. Done that. Everything now ok. Thanks for your inputs. Allan
  9. AH. There you go. When all wles fails RTFM. LOL Excerpt from cfg file:- // WARNING NEVER TAKE OFF "FREEWARE_©_TDS_01AUG2014" from title= // If you do those , wings will be gone and other unexpected things will happen. And I did just that. This was the title, which means nothing to me, and I wanted to change iot to something more meaningful. FREEWARE_©_TDS_01AUG2014 _722 +A0000 +D00 +TFF00 Base 9SER Back to the drawing board. I'll let you know, but thank you. Allan
  10. Now that's odd. To clarify something first, yes, they're two different versions, one is an FS2004 and the one that works is an FSX. Anyway, I did as was suggested. I renamed the texture file and copied over the working texture file. To start with, the aircraft was totally black, which isn't surprising, but the problem with the wings still exists. Now, I'm totally lost. Allan
  11. Mr Zippy, yes other TDS models are ok. il99pp, yes the other 727 has texture files. They're from Thomas Ruth but I could try what you suggest. Thank you both. Allan
  12. Having a love for the B727-200 I found this TDS based aircraft. It all seems to be there, including an extensive texture file, but when I try to fly it this is what I get. Also, some of the panel functions don't work although the panel works fine in another 727. The issue I have is that I can't find anyone to ask about it. The aircraft is a repaint of the TDS model and the creator was Luis Castro. Does anyone know how I can contact him? Many thanks. Allan
  13. Hi. I'm trying to instal some decent panels for the B727-200. In my opinion the most beautiful aircraft ever to grace our skies. However, it's an old aircraft and so the panels for it are also old, FS2004 being the latest I can find. The result is they mostly use gauges that are from FS98 and FS2002 and won't work in FSX. Are there any replacement gauges for these? Thanks. Allan
  14. Sounds good to me. Got another little project going at the moment but will get on it straight afterwards.
  15. Hi Jorgen. I've registered with AI. Awaiting confirmation.
  16. Hi USB. I've downloaded those files but not yet looked at them. Thank you. Allan
  17. Looks like I have DX12 installed, and DX10 preview is unchecked in the sim. There are no other Air Wales ATR42 aircraft Yes, it's an FS2004 aircraft. BUT, I used to run it between 2009 and 2012 with no problems. Allan
  18. I have. And failed to find one. Also, I'd used these plans 8 years ago with no problems, when I used to compile with Ttools. Only having problems when using AIFPC.
  19. I've installed the file awvatr42.zip, which is an Air Wales FS2004 repaint of the Germanwings ATR42. I had this installed about 8 years ago and had no problems. However, now, after reinstalling the propellers are showing merely as black discs when running. Any idea why this should be? Many thanks. Allan
  20. I have Cardiff addon scenery, cardiff.zip. It works fine except the fuel farm is flashing. I read somewhere that there is a fix for this but not been able to track it down. Does anyone know if the actually is one and what it is? Nothing else flashes.
  21. AIFP£ - Error message when compiling. "Not compiled - not a complete leg" What does this mean. I've searched and searched and found nothing. I can usually get the flight plans compiled by messing around with them but I can see nothing that gets rid of this message when it actually does. I would mention that years ago I compiled exactly the same flightplans using Ttools, with no problems. I just don't see any pattern here.
  22. Sorry this is belated, Jorgen, but thank you.
