  1. Hello, I'm back. About 95% ok. First, the question of standby gauges not workig in the A321 default. It's not the case. They are working. I was looking at another aircraft that I thought was using the A321. In fact it was an addon panel that was identical with the A321 default panel but titled A330, and somehow these gauges weren't working on this. I won't be using that panel, so it's no longer an issue. Thanks again. But Rick, so far as the A350 is concerned, I started again. Fresh aircraft, fresh installation, same problem. When I looked closer I found the issue. There was one too many steps in the installation - one sub-folder too many. Got rid of that and now works great. But, have to say, none of the A350 panels I've looked at sets my world alight. So everything fine, now, and I've learned quite a bit along the way. Thank you. Now, on to the next problems with the 350. And yes, there are 2, but I was previously chastised for putting too many problems in one post (point was taken), so starting another. Maybe you'd have alook, Rick. Thanks, again.
  2. I will. But it might be a few days. ot too well at the moment (not Covid) and absolutely drained of energy. Should be ok in a days or so and will then keep you advised. Allan
  3. Hello Rick. Thank you for the information. In this particular case both the aircraft and the panel are FSX. But I wasn't aware that FS2004 panels can't be used in FSX. I had a sabbatical for about 5 years but before that I installed scores of aircraft and panels but, as I said I'd never come across that restriction. I've made a note of all your comments and those from Mr Zippy, above, and will start with a clean sheet of paper, later. Many thanks, once again. Allan
  4. Hello Mr Zippy. Thank you for that. Been out of sorts for 2 days. Hopefully better tomorrow so will check then. Any suggestion for my Camsim350 problem?
  5. On my default A321 panel none of my standby instruments work. Also, I've tried adding panels to the Camsim A350. Even though I follow the installation instructions word for word, straight out of the box, I just cannot get any of the Camsim A350's to work. Is there an issue with these?
  6. This is the procedure I used: Cancelled IFR Pressed 2 [Create or Open an IFR.....] Flight Planner came up I pressed LOAD Chose from list "IFR Changi to Heathrow" Open OK Asked "do you want to move your aircraft to ........" No Aircraft started an immediate turn. Turned off APP and GPS Option to "Request IFR" 3 Request IFR Clearance ATC instructed Heading and Resume own navigation. When close to track I selected GPS and APP. Aircraft turned immediately and headed back towards Singapore No matter what I tried I couldn't get the Flight Plan to reactivate.
  7. "From the Active Flight Plan page, press the CRSR button to activate the cursor. Rotate the large knob to highlight the desired destination waypoint. Press the MENU button, select the "Activate Leg?" option, and press the ENT button. (GPS 500 only)" I think we're talking about a totally different aircraft here.
  8. Hi. Flying a 777 from Sin to LHR. After about 4 hrs I inadvertently hit the wrong ATC selection number and cancelled my flight plan. I tried to reconnect by loading the flight plan and selecting not to start at the gate. It restarts in flight at the same location but I've tried everything I can think of to re-engage the flight plan. Every selection I make leaves me with a number of choices, none of which seem to want to work. I've tried each one but as soon as I select GPS and APP the aircraft turns and appears to be heading back in the direction of SIN. Can someone tell me how to do this, please? I take the precaution of saving long flights periodically so I can return to the latest save as a last resort but I really don't want to fly the last hour again. And, of course, I need to know for the future.
  9. My apologies for that. Yes, all other problems solved, and I'm grateful for the advice. Thank you. I think my problem was I was trying to rush things and do too many things at the same time. So the only issue that remains is where I only get default aircraft when I select "Commercial Airliners". But it's not a major issue.
  10. F16, I have a thumbnail in every aircraft texture folder John, I'd missed that box. Now checked and all aircraft displayed. However, when I select "Commercial Airliners" only the default are displayed. "All" is checked in other boxes.
  11. Hi. Seems like you're on the right track. But I got there accidentally. I found that one of my aircraft was missing a thumbnail pic, so I created one and my listing seems to have sorted itself out. But this raises another question, along similar lines. In some aircraft folders I, like most people, have multiple aircraft in one folder. For example, I have Virgin and Malta aircraft in one A320 folder. The virgin aircraft shows in my listing but my Malta doesn't, Same with the default aircraft. Why is this? I don't remember this being the case when I was active on the sim about 5 years ago.
  12. In my initial aircraft page the pictured of some of the aircraft and the tital don 't matych the actual aircraft. For example, I have the Cub name and when I select the aircraft it chows correctly. Hoever, the picture showing in the aircraft listiong is actually an A320 Also, with the default aircraft, only one shows, which means I can'r select others. I'fe checked the cfg file and all the textures, air files, [flightsim x] numbers are correct. Am I doing something wrong, here?
  13. Thank you, but they're now recognised by FSX. I don't know what changed but suddenly they're fine.
  14. I saved them on a previous hard drive in a separate folder. I've tried transferring them into My Documents\Flight Sim X Files. And no, Inuss, I never delete anything that might be useful sometime.
  15. I have scores of what appear to be flight plans from a previous iteration of FSX. They're .PLN files. If they are, in fact, flight plans, how can I enter them. I've tried transferring to Documents but FSX doesn't appear to read them.
  16. Not sure whether we're singing from the same hymn sheet. What I'm looking to do is to run other programs, such as checking my emails, whilst the sim continues to run. However, I later found that the sim does, in fact, continue running when other progs are run in the background but the sound is muted.
  17. I've read from a number of sources that the way to stop this is to uncheck "pause when exit". But this doesn't work. Does anyone know how to do this?
  18. You're both right, again. Reduced to 1,000 fpm and M0.6 and bingo, sweet as a nut. Thank you. I don't usually fly with those parameters but I was trying to get to the Spanish/French border quickly, to test my France scenery.
  19. Top Gun, Just tried the same situation with Pitot Heat switched on. Made no difference. But happened at the same geographical location. Next, going to remove the France scenery and see what that does.
  20. 2000 ft/min No pitot heat, but flown this aircraft for long periods without resorting to looking for pitot heat. Also, the drop in spedd was sudden and fairly rapid.
  21. Was flying an A320 out of Gerona, flying 340. Over the Pyrenees I was on autopilot, climbing through 240 for 330 with the autothrottle set at M0.7. This might have been a bit high but I was experimenting and wanted to get to the Spanish/French border quickly. At this point, over the Pyrenees, my airspeed started to fall rapidly. Pushed the nose forward to increase speed but as soon as I tried to level out the speed dropped again. Eventually crashed. I've recently installed France scenery and I wondered if the transition from the default Spain scenery to the addon France scenery would, somehow, cause this to happen. Any ideas?
