PhrogPhlyer
Nice tie-in to the poster! The Connie is truly the most classic from the Golden Age. Do you know anything about the "Super G" painted on the side? I've not seen that in other photos of Connies. Always Aviate, then Navigate, then Communicate. And never be low on Fuel, Altitude, Airspeed, or Ideas. From 'www.museumofflight.org/exhibits-and-events/aircraft/lockheed1049g-super-constellation', "For long range operations, the Super G could be fitted with extra wingtip tanks, increasing the fuel capacity by two-thirds". Just manufacturer advertising bling.

Thanks Macro, I should have remembered about the tip=tanks, since the military had these also. So much great history out there. Always Aviate, then Navigate, then Communicate.
