CRJ_simpilot
Not with the default GPS. In real life it should show up though. Perhaps the GPS at RealityXP does, I'm not sure. OOM errors? Read this. What the squawk? An awesome weather website with oodles of Info. and options. Wile E. Coyote would be impressed.
Rupert
I agree! Adding altitude to a GPS in FSX would be nice. However, if anyone has done it, I haven't heard about it. :( Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
mrzippy
I usually rely on the altimeter or I lick my finger and hold it out the window. It's pretty accurate! ;) Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
dogdish
I usually rely on the altimeter or I lick my finger and hold it out the window. It's pretty accurate! ;) Your finger detects barometric pressure when licked? Mine only detects wind speed and direction. lesh
Remember that GPS gives height above the reference ellipsoid that approximates the earth's surface so may not even give an accurate height AMSL. It certainly wouldn't give you anything useful to use for calculating height above ground or obstructions.

CRJ_simpilot
I use this gauge in my F-22, but it requires you to know how to use it. It does provide an AGL altitude.
