But following a legal problem with Dassault Aviation, he had to be removed . Great add-on, no longer for sale now, just a 'collector' . hornetdriver25
That is cool! My Grandfather always saw SNJ's over his farm in Robstown which is near Corpus Christi, so mabye it was one of your dads planes. PhantomTweak
Might have been, HD! This world is smaller than people realize :D Small, funny side story: Dad picked up a Model A Ford (original condition, unrestored) during his transfer from Corpus to Miramar. Driving along in his Morris Minor, on the road from El Centro to San Diego up through the mountains (it was a lot twistier back then), he saw an older gentleman in the Model A coming the other way, thought he and his buddy with him would play a joke (He was a horrible smart-alek back then. Where I got it I think!). They stopped and waved the guy down, told him they'd give him $10.00 for the Ford, right there and then. The older guy thought for a moment, took the ten-spot off dad and turned and started walking away. This was the mid-50's mind you, and dad has that Model A (32 Coupe` special, two spares and a rumble seat...) still. Did your grandfather ever have a Model-A by any chance??? Used to use it to drive to the airport in for his flights out of KSFO. To this day it still has the UAL Ops building parking from the early to mid 60's in a corner of the windshield, parked (and sort-of buried) in the garage... Just a funny little story :D Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! hornetdriver25
No, he did not. Cool story. Those SNJ's would come over the farm and scare the cows with their loud engines.
