   Crystal River Plaza for Flight Simulator 2000

   This scenery is a little creation of mine for Flight Simulator 2000, a loose recreation of "Crystal River Plaza" directly across from the Crystal River Airport (X31) in Crystal River Florida.
   It's really neat to see the planes skimming the rooftops of the buildings of the parking lot of the shopping center that are approaching for a landing on runway 9 at X31 while waiting for your Domino's Pizza order in the real-world location 🙂

   FS2000 Catalina Airport Scenery Flatten Fix

   This scenery file (M5244271.bgl) fixes a problem in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 where the ground at Catalina Airport (KAVX) is not solid. The elevation of the island and airport is 1,601 feet, but attempting to land or takeoff from the airport results in sinking into the island all the way down to sea level.
   The scenery file contains several flatten polygons that fix the errors with the existing polygons in the default scenery.
   Simply copy the files included in the archive to the "FS2000\SceneDB\WestHem\USSW\Scenery" directory on your hard drive.
   Also included in the archive is a backup of the original scenery file (M5244271.ori), as well as a backup of the fixed scenery file (M5244271.new).

   FS2000/FS2002 Gerrish's Trees Library v3. This is Gerrish Gray's complete Trees Object Library, updated and re-issued as a single package. (Not to be confused with his series of Autogen tree replacements for improving the default trees in the FS2002 landscape, see the separate downloads GTL_AGEN.ZIP, MSTREES.ZIP, and MSTREES2.ZIP). The package includes the Trees Library file itself and all required textures, with simple instructions for use with any sceneries, old or new, that state that they need "Gerrish's Trees Library". The textures come in two versions: the original set designed for FS2000/2 and an updated set for use with FS2002 only. Also included is a revised version of the SDK for scenery designers for the creation of sceneries incorporating these high-quality trees. The library provides 20 different styles of tree (including deciduous types, conifers, and a couple of palms), each available in a range of shapes and with various patterns of seasonal behaviour for use in different parts of the world, giving a total of 1600 variations, each of which can be used at any desired size, from a 1-2m high shrub to giant, 100m tall, forest firs. The 24 different API macros in the SDK allow the trees to be placed either as individual specimens or in various realistic groupings. Freeware by Gerrish Gray.

It contains a 750 foot by 40 foot gravel runway, with a lake at each end of the runway and tall trees beyond that. Not for the lighthearted and is a most challenging outpost to fly to.     FS2000 scenery--RAF St Eval, Cornwall, UK, circa 1955. RAF St Eval was born to be a maritime recconnaisance airfield to protect shipping around the southwestern tip of Great Britain. Building started in 1938 and the station opened in October 1939. Home to many aircraft types from Spits and Hurries, to the Lanc, and then superceded by the mighty Avro Shackleton, St Eval closed on March 6th, 1959. A single hangar and the church are still visible on the skyline. RAF St Eval gone, but not forgotten. By Steve Anderson.
