FSX Piper Comanche & Cherokee Six Prop Update. Piper PA-24 Comanche and PA-32 Cherokee Six "Propeller" Updates, are optional replacements to those AIRCRAFT.CFG files you have flying today. The Piper airplanes that were "tuned up" (by AIRCRAFTEDITORV1-1.ZIP) was an effort to bring performance data within published V-Speeds, etc. The Piper Commanches and the Cherokee Six's (uploaded by me) have been re-evaluated again, from the original configurations and test flights were better than those provided in their original form. These refinements are getting the simulations closer yet, to those published by Piper in their Standard Catalog. Easy to install, unzip the zip file in a temporary folder and copy the texture.privat folder into the "SpartanMSfsx" folder. FSX Piper Comanche And Cherokee Six MOI Update. Piper PA-24 Comanche and PA-32 Cherokee Six "Moments Of Inertia" updates, are optional replacements to those AIRCRAFT.CFG files you have flying today. The Piper airplanes that were "tuned up" (by AIRCRAFTEDITORV1-1.ZIP) was an effort to bring performance data within published V-speeds, etc. The Piper Commanches and the Cherokee Six's (uploaded by me) have been re-evaluated from the original configurations (which are also provided as AIRCRAFT_Org.CFG files) and test flights were better than those provided in their original form. For example; the Comanche 400 now cruses at published 185 Knots (212 MPH) which earlier I found difficult to achieve. Another thing I discovered while "tuning up" the constant-speed airplanes was the need to "Square up" the manifold pressure on the PA-32 Cherokee Six's as in 2,500 RPM and a manifold at 25-Inches gave the best speed and fuel rate burn within reason (18 GPH). The Piper Comanches (PA-24's) I found the PDF Checklist suggested 21-Inch manifold pressures to a tach readings of 2,500 - 2,600 gave the best speed and fuel (17 GPH) burn rate. Installation of these tune ups, just select the airplane you'd like to update and copy the Aircraft.CFG files over your existing files. If you liked what you had, remove AIRCRAFT.CFG and rename AIRCRAFT_Org.CFG to AIRCRAFT.CFG. MOI Tune Ups by Ron Prindle.180 downloads

While flying this airplane and fully developing the 250, 260 and 400 HP Comanches, I discovered a need for an updated set of airspeed indicators, fuel gauges, weight and balance sheets, inflight checklists and reference data cards and a second texture, since so many repaints of Mike Stone's fine airplane exist. This update is complete in that all files will be "overwritten" of your existing \FS PA-24-180 Comanche CS folder. This is easier than walking you through the file-by-file changes. This is the same airplane you downloaded as (PA_24_180_COMANCHE.ZIP) with all the same files and gauges and the newest Panel.CFG and Aircraft.CFG changes incorporated. After this update, you will have the same green Comanche and a new red one, still a 180 HP version, both fine-tuned slightly from your last Commanche 180 Project. FSX Piper PA-24-180 Commanche. This FSX Piper PA-24 Comanche 180 CS is based on the existing (SCOMANCH.ZIP) airplane made by Mike Stone. Besides being adapted to the 180 HP version in the aircraft configuration files for FSX, it adds the actual set of 25-gallon fuel tanks, seating / baggage, weight and balance problems to Mike Stone's simulation of the Piper Comanche, manufactured in 1958 to 1964. This airplane comes complete, in that it has all the necessary gauges found in Mike Stone's panel(s) and those not already provided for in FSX. This airplane makes performance runs (fully loaded with full tanks) at ground speeds of 136 knots, burning roughly 11 GPH, at 2,500 RPM for the constant-speed prop at 25-inches of manifold pressure. The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is an all-metal, single-engine, four-seat, high-wing light utility aircraft, produced by Cessna Aircraft Company between 1958 and 1962. The model N of the Cessna 172 was not officially built to support water floats, but a certain number were successfully modified with floats by their owners and other enthusiasts. FSX RV-9A Complete from converted FS2004. These three textures were first designed for FS2004. Someone told me that I could use them in FSX if they had a panel and sound change that was designed for FSX. Because I had already uploaded an FSX version of the RV-9A, this was an easy job. This is my first painting of an airplane and was prompted by comments by Harrison Jones who flies a real RV-9A, G-CEEP, which is mostly a solid yellow. I have also included a red version of the RV-9A and the original texture which was an unfinished plane, G-SNAV, by Chris Lampard that he kindly offered to the sim community. The new panel is somewhat similar to the actual panel of the G-CEEP. Be watching for a fantastic new scenery for Caernarfon Airport in Wales designed by my new friend Harrison Jones. Early 172s were similar in appearance to the 170s, with the same straight aft fuselage and tall landing gear legs, although the 172 had a straight tailfin while the 170 had a rounded fin and rudder. FSX Van's RV-9A Updated Version 2. Van's Aircraft is the leader in home-built kit planes. The RV9A is a side by side two-seat with the nose wheel. My previous upload on June 2020 was mislabeled and this version has several changes and is for FSX only. This plane was built on a model designed by Chuck Dome after I asked for his assistance. I have made the blue version of the C Dome model as my own with reworking the .air and Aircraft.cfg files and a standard panel as opposed to a glass panel. Because the RV-9A is a kit the real cockpits vary widely from basic standard panel to the glass. The RV-9A has max speed of 182 KIAS, cruise speed of 157 KIAS, and a stall speed around 45 KIAS.
