/images/notams/notams22/traf1130.jpgAs we edge closer to the highly anticipated release of our firstTraffic product for Microsoft Flight Simulator, here is a furtherdevelopment update from the FS Traffic team. We now have what we consider to be a solid build of FS Traffic, with all core features functional both in the simulator and in theexternal Traffic Control Centre app. We supplied a new build to ourtesting teams at the end of last week and we will be monitoring andacting on their feedback in the coming week or so. The main tasksgoing forward are predominantly fixing whatever bugs are raised aswell as adding any final features that we feel will enhance theproduct further. Since the last update, we have been busy adding custom effects andanimations, meaning that our aircraft now have effects such ascontrails and engine efflux, as well as animations such as flaps, thrust reversers and wheel rotation which all vary depending on theaircraft’s state. This work is on-going with more animations andeffects due to be added prior to release. All aircraft models and liveries from our initial specificationsare now complete and further liveries are being added to the productas we endeavour to fill in as many gaps as we can. The team have also been investigating the effects that Sim Update11 has had on the AI Traffic in MSFS. During testing we have noticed asizeable number of improvements with the AI behaviour with this SimUpdate, including improved taxi and take-off behaviour, however, thereare also some areas where we have noticed new issues regarding AIcapability in the sim. We are now investigating these areas and areworking to try and overcome them. In the meantime, these issues havebeen reported to Asobo/Microsoft and we are hopeful furtherrefinements to the AI traffic can be made in future MSFS updates. /images/notams/notams22/just1118/just-flight-f28-1.jpgSince our previous update for the Fokker F28 Fellowship, ourdevelopment team have been busy wrapping up their work on themodelling and texturing of the aircraft. Most notable additions to theaircraft now are the fully animated passenger and cargo doors, as wellas the inclusion of wheel chocks and cones around the aircraft. Thisvisual work is pretty much complete now and is simply undergoingfurther testing. Coding work has also begun on the myriad of the F28’s systems, manyof which are unique to the F28 and require close collaboration withour testing team of ex-F28 flight, engineering, and training crews toensure we achieve a very high level of accuracy. You certainly won’tbe mistaking this aircraft for your typical airliner! With all animations, cockpit instrumentation, annunciators, andbasic systems now working, we have handed the aircraft over to ourflight model and sound developers so they can begin to work theirmagic. Once the flight dynamics and sounds are complete, we will aimto bring you some videos focusing on these features. This week we have also supplied a new build out to our testing teamwhich included the first batch of functional systems. The aircraft isnow in a flyable state and our testing teams are looking over thenewly coded systems and providing us with their ever-valuablefeedback. Here's a small selection of screenshots from our latest build tosupport this entry. /images/notams/notams22/just1031.jpgWhilst development work on our upcoming releases keeps us busy, wealso spend time where possible, updating and upgrading our existingfleet of aircraft. To that end we wanted to show you something we’vebeen working on for our GA aircraft - the Stormscope. This will be retro-fitted to previous GA aircraft (FOC), here it'sshown within the PA28 Warrior II and it will be included in future GAaircraft too. The Stormscope is a very useful addition to GA aircraft, especially those with older avionics such as our PA-28s, offering a compact multi-function display with easy-to-use controls. Once testing is complete, we’ll provide more information on when the Stormscope will be coming to our existing GA fleet. /images/notams/notams22/velo1020/velo1020.jpgBlack Square’s home-build Velocity XL for MSFS features the top-end400HP model, with a fully featured IFR-capable panel with every knob, switch and button functional, fully realised electrical system withevery circuit breaker functioning, comprehensive default Wwise 3Dsound package integration and realistic canard aircraft flightdynamics. /images/notams/notams22/velo1020/velocity-1.jpgThe Velocity is a family of home-built, high-performance, compositeconstruction, single-engine aircraft. Notably, the Velocity hascanard-style airfoils rather than a conventional main wing for lift, and counteracting tail surfaces for control and stability. The mostadvantageous feature of the canard design is its resistance to deepstalls and spins. On a canard aircraft, the forward wing is designedto stall prior to the main wing, thereby pitching the aircraft downand restoring lift to the main wing. Nearly 1,000 proud Velocity owners have assembled and fabricatedparts to complete the aircraft of their dreams in a process that takesaround 2,000 hours of work. The builder is rewarded with one of thehighest performance piston singles on the market, and an aircraft thatmeets their exact specifications. /images/notams/notams22/velo1020/velocity-2.jpgThe original Velocity was designed by Danny Maher, and debuted atthe 1986 Sun-N-Fun Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida, USA. Themodern Velocity models are the result of several redesigns by thecurrent owners, Scott and Duane Swing. /images/notams/notams22/velo1020/velocity-3.jpgBlack Square’s Velocity XL is modelled after a top-end Velocitybuild, with an upgraded 400HP Continental TSIO-550 fitted with dualturbochargers, giving the aircraft a critical altitude of 24,000 feetand ground speeds of over 400 MPH. With a range of over 1,600 milesand single-engine efficiency, the Velocity is a real contender whencompared with small turboprop business aircraft that operate at 5-10times the cost. /images/notams/notams22/velo1020/velocity-4.jpgPurchase Just Flight - Black Square Velocity XL MSFS See other Just Flight products

/images/notams/notams22/just1005.jpgIt's with a great deal of regret that we have taken the toughdecision not to proceed with any further development of both the 747Classic and A300B4-200 for Prepar3D. We appreciate that this will be disappointing for those of you whoare still flying in P3D and have been looking forward to a study-levelairliner, but the drastically reduced number of P3D users since therelease of Microsoft Flight Simulator sadly makes further developmentof the 747 and A300 for P3D an unviable proposition for us. We are, however, working to release both aircraft for MicrosoftFlight Simulator, taking full advantage of all the latest featuresoffered by this new platform. We'll bring you some firmer detailsabout a development schedule in due course. We thank you all for your patience and understanding and oursincere apologies to all of you who were looking forward to flyingthese airliners in P3D. Source

/images/notams/notams22/fokk0804/f28-1.jpgAs mentioned in our last development update, the F28 team have beenvery busy working on extensive upgrades to the cockpit, and here someof the results! /images/notams/notams22/fokk0804/f28-2.jpgBetween the four variants of the F28, and the many operators overits decades of services, no two cockpits are guaranteed to be alike inthe real-world. Therefore we have reconfigured the cockpit to matchthe real aircraft that we visited at the Fokker Technical College, forthe most authentic environment possible. Our artists have upgraded thevisual fidelity of every area of the cockpit and are now working oneven higher texture resolution for pin-sharp clarity, whilst ourtesting team, which includes F28 flight, engineering and trainingcrew, have been hard at work checking over every inch of the cockpitas development work progresses. /images/notams/notams22/fokk0804/f28-3.jpgWe’ve included some screenshots showing the stunning cockpitlighting. /images/notams/notams22/blue0724/bluebird1.jpgHere's the next development update covering the 752-200/300, sorryfor the delay since the last update. It's been a busy busy time! Over the last few months, we have focused a lot on getting the VCanimations complete along with working on the FMS (Flight ManagementSystemx) and flight dynamics. The VC animations are 90%complete. However, many switches still need to be integrated into thesystems. From the FMS perspective, several pages on the FMC, certainAP functions, Navigation display , PFD are functioning. Withoutrevealing too much it's worth emphasising that the FMS is a hugepriority. After the FMS is complete, we will work on the other systemsof the aircraft. /images/notams/notams22/blue0724/bluebird2.jpgOn the exterior model, we have focused mainly on the landinggear. Still a lot of parts left to do but it is coming alongnicely. The textures are unchanged from the last update but these arereally just placeholder textures. A lot of detailed work is still leftto do to really bring the textures to life. The flight model has received attention too. However, there is muchleft to do here. We plan on integrating two different flightmodels. One will be aimed at “easier flying†while the other is aimedat maximum realism within the simulator limitations. /images/notams/notams22/blue0724/bluebird3.jpgSource Previous Dev Update on Just Flight 757

/images/notams/notams22/fstr0722.jpgHere's the next development update for you covering FS Traffic: Last week saw an important milestone in the life of FS Traffic aswe released the first beta build to our testing team. Other importantchanges made recently include the implementation of a new in-sim menusystem designed to give you some control over your traffic options inreal-time, and further improvements to the traffic generated at yourarrival destination. We've also received flight plan data coveringlate June 2022 and we are busy integrating this into the program. In the past few months we have had a team of artists helping paintour traffic fleet. To ensure global coverage we tasked them withcreating over 700 liveries covering many different airlines. With 70%of the liveries now complete, the work is shifting from the twinengine narrow bodies to the widebodies and regionalairliners. Alongside this we have also been setting up the externallighting and the interactive points which allow the ground servicesand jet bridges to connect to the AI aircraft. Source
