g7rta
I’ve just had to google Ercoupe as I hadn’t heard of them. They look good & I wouldn’t mind trying one myself. Maybe someone will create one? chicagorandy
the "C" model is unique in that it never had rudder pedals. It was designed to be impossible to spin and handle pretty much like a car, on the ground and in the air. A truly wonderful little airplane. Downwind66
Check out this library, Alon Ercoupe! And, yes, I flew the newer Alon Ercoupe, came out in the late sixties, they were very fun to fly! Rick
chicagorandy
Good news - I heard back from Flysimware Simulations - they have plans to port over their very nice Ercoupe 415-C to MSFS. No dates given. So we got that going for us, which is nice. chicagorandy
Holy necropost Batman. I posted back in April of this year about my purchase of the Brsimdesigns 415-C - a very fun plane to fly with a mod offered in July by a forum member. All the mentions of an Ercoupe can be found by using the 'Search Forum' function. https://secure.simmarket.com/brsimdesigns-ercoupe-415c-msfs.phtml Here is the mod info post making it more landable - https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?338910-BRSimdesign-Ercoupe-issue&highlight=ercoupe Happy flying. lnuss
the "C" model is unique in that it never had rudder pedals. Not unique, Randy- Few of the many versions of the [ErAir]coupe had pedals. but "The F-1A [not the F-1] model had three axis controls and bucket seats" according to Wikipedia, and "The [Alon] A-2 also differed from earlier two-control models in having limited-movement rudder pedals." "The older two axes control system was offered as an option" Larry N. As Skylab would say: Remember: Aviation is NOT an exact Science!
chicagorandy
"Not unique, Randy-" Good info to have. Thanks Larry. I admit that in the intervening near two years since I made that post I kinda forgot I even made the statement. lol "Don't believe everything you see on the internet." - Abe Lincoln HP Pavilion Desktop i5-8400@2.8ghz, 16gb RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, GTX1650 4GB, 300 MBPS internet, 31.5" curved monitor, Logitech yoke-throttle, Flt Vel trim wheel, TFRP rudder pedals, G/M IR headset, Extreme 3D Pro joystick, Wheel Stand Pro S Dlx
