dogdish
I paid $49.99 for the FSX versions. How can A2A justify charging $30.00 more from Prepar3D Academic to Professional? Prepar3D Mustang and Spitfire $80.00 each... Really? Prepar3D Mustang and Spitfire $80.00 each... Really? No. Its the same price all year round. At least, until MSFS 2020 hits the streets! Either afford it. Or don't: Your choice. It's not obligatory! I see the purchase as a component of the sim. The only thing I wont buy is intermediate versions, but they don't charge for Hotfixes anyway! You've already spent what? 2 grand on equipment and dual OS! What the heck for?
Downwind66
Hi Jack! I agree. A2A is great, but come on! I got the Warwick Carter P-51's and I have no complaints, Spitfires, which I have had, but not now, there are an abundance available freeware! Good luck! dogdish
You've already spent what? 2 grand on equipment and dual OS! What the heck for? Majority of my gear is from August 2014...6 years of solid use and will be able to run FS2020 reasonably well. Only reason I got W10 Pro (Found a legit un-used retail license for $60.00) is for FS2020 (Prepar3D v5 needed it too). Windows 7 is still my O/S of choice. dogdish
Thanks Lyn saw that. Basically a loss leader to get one to buy the prime models. Would rather they sold all of them at the same lower price. dogdish
Not a very good lost leader either. I tried installing the P-40 (P3D v4~v5) to P3D V5 Hotfix 2 and the installer only recogonized the path for V4, so I changed it to V5. When I tried to run P3D v5 and select the P-40, it crashed me back to desktop. I don't think I'll be getting any of them :( EDIT: Apparently the windshield.dll causes the CTD in V5 See here: https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=70166 Edited June 26, 2020 by dogdish Gigabyte GA-X99 Gaming G1, i7-5960X, Noctua NH-D14, Crucial Ballistix Elite 64Gb, Nvidia GTX Titan X, Creative ZxR, Ableconn PEXM2-130, WD Black SN750 250Gb & 2Tb NVMe/Gold 10Tb HDD, Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM, PC Power & Cooling 1200w, Cosmos C700M, Noctua iPPC 140mm x6, Logitech M570/K800, WinX64 7 Ultimate/10 Pro
vgbaron
I had no issues installing mine either. Vic edit: this post will go nowhere. A2A has it's policies, if you do not agree, you have control - do not buy. You've made your displeasure known no need to repeat it.
