plainsman
One of those trips that is geopolitically impossible, but you can fly in a sim. I take off from the north coast of Cuba, skirt just west of the Florida Keys, and land in SW Florida. Note the big solar farm in the last shot. Rupert
Very nice! And yes, this Ky boy is firmly in favor of solar!!! And I'm proud to say that even here, we're making more electricity with solar than with coal!! Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. plainsman
Thanks guys! I have mixed emotions about the solar farms. It definitely makes sense in areas like this and maybe in mined out areas of KY, but out where I am from originally, they are building these on prime crop land. Due to the way these are installed, the land is essentially removed from ever being farmed again. The wind farms may be noisy and kill birds, but at least the land can still be farmed and they are easily removed if they become obsolete. Soap box off!!
