loki
The NDA tech alpha testers agreed to prohibits sharing anything about the sim, so you shouldn't expect any responses.
dogdish
Your right probably not here on Flight Sim. I should probably take my question to AVSIM or just keep my eyes open on YouTube because I doubt my question would be a NDA criminal offense to Microsoft who is sharing information all the time on the new sim. If Microsoft didn't care, they wouldn't have asked alpha testers to agree to the NDA. A big part of why they, and other developers, use NDAs is so they can control what is shared while the sum is under development. With it still being in the alpha stage, a lot could change before release. Don't think Avsim will be any more help either.
zswobbie1
Patience, young Jedi, there's a year to go, and why would you want to put an old plane, with a single control point into a sim where their planes have 100 per surface? 360'ish sleeps to go.. loki
As one example of how serious companies take NDAs, check out the article below. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-11-13-epic-sues-yet-another-tester-for-leaking-info-on-fortnite-chapter-

Economics Obi-Wan. It's already been published that the new sim will have a backwards compatibility mode to FSX aircraft. Of course I will get new native models as they become available, however want to try out the "old plane"s of Carenado, RealAir, QW, etc. Gigabyte GA-X99 Gaming G1, i7-5960X, Noctua NH-D14, Crucial Ballistix Elite 64Gb, Nvidia GTX Titan X, Creative ZxR, Ableconn PEXM2-130, WD Black SN750 250Gb & 2Tb NVMe/Gold 10Tb HDD, Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM, PC Power & Cooling 1200w, Cosmos C700M, Noctua iPPC 140mm x6, Logitech M570/K800, WinX64 7 Ultimate/10 Pro

dogdish
Best post, so far Mr Zippy!! Actually I think that honor should go to you. "LEGACY SIMULATOR STILL AVAILABLE" Hope this means I can install and fly my FSX aircraft into the new sim. Just guessing but I think if gauges are XML you'll be able to import them (just like P3D). DLLs won't work as the engine is rewritten with new variable locations. Wait and see. :) Even with the single point reference, the new sim will have much better wind affecting the old aircrafts. dogdish
Hope so. The FSX product installers would have to think they are being installed into FSX. If Microsoft does not do it, perhaps a enterprising simmer would make a SDK compatible one to do it. I know a legacy FSX aircraft would not have the special effects such as icing etc., just want to be able to fly my fleet of RealAir, Carenado, etc.. Of course Carenado will sell new native models or update the existing ones to work with the new sim.
