We have 450 gallons of fuel on board for the 300 nm flight of about 1 hour and 50 minutes. Good weather with light cloud cover above 8,000 feet is forecast for the entire flight. We will be cruising at an altitude of 6,000 feet. Aviameer was a Belgian charter airline that operated this one aircraft from May 1957 to July 1960. We have been at our cruising altitude for quite a while with Northampton ahead and to the right. 7. Burton-on-Trent is off to our Left and we see the Trent River below. 8. We are now at the halfway point near the town of Ramsbottom. 9. Passing over the valleys and moorland of the Bowland Fells in Lancashire. 10. Morecambe Bay and its sandy beaches is off to the left with the village of Silverdale below. 11. Entering the Lake District we see the Cumbrian Mountains and Windermere Lake. About seventy nm from Glasgow we pass over the Solway Firth. 14. Near the town of Thornhill, Scotland with the Carsphairn and Scaur hills below we turn northwest toward the coast. 15. About 30 nm from Glasgow with the Firth of Clyde ahead we begin our initial descent to 2,600 feet. 16. Near the village of West Kilbride we turn toward Glasgow’s Renfrew Airport about 20 nm distant. 17. Seven nm from Renfrew we are lining up our approach to runway 8 with flaps 30 and gear down. 18. Lined up on final with flaps full. Someone needs to have a talk with the engineer who designed that highway. 19. Touchdown. 20. Completing the rollout and continuing to the turnoff. 21. We are off the runway and taxiing to parking. 22. Parked, systems powered down and passengers disembarked. Thanks for flying Aviameer.
