We have 450 gallons of fuel on board for the 300 nm flight of about 1 hour and 50 minutes. Good weather with light cloud cover above 8,000 feet is forecast for the entire flight. We will be cruising at an altitude of 6,000 feet. Aviameer was a Belgian charter airline that operated this one aircraft from May 1957 to July 1960. We are off and folding up the gear. 4. Now at 1,800 feet and turning on course for Glasgow. 5. Climbing through 5,000 feet about 15 nm from Heathrow. 6. We have been at our cruising altitude for quite a while with Northampton ahead and to the right. 7. Burton-on-Trent is off to our Left and we see the Trent River below. 8. We are now at the halfway point near the town of Ramsbottom. 9. Passing over the valleys and moorland of the Bowland Fells in Lancashire. 10. Morecambe Bay and its sandy beaches is off to the left with the village of Silverdale below. 11. Entering the Lake District we see the Cumbrian Mountains and Windermere Lake.
