Shalom and greetings all my pals,

 

Exciting river approach toward runway 06 of PAVD Valdez Airport three nautical miles east of the business district of Valdez, Alaska can be pure beautiful and fun as you get to fly 3,000 ft above river THROUGH between mountains on way to runway 06!!

Another great flight. You do quite well with the landings. When I was looking at your DC-7 I was thinking about an episode of Ice Pilots on the Weather Channel. Buffalo Airways flies a DC-6 for cargo. That one particular episode the right gear got partially stuck in the wheel well. They couldn't get it all the way up or down. They flew back from an ice strip to Yellow Knife. The senior pilot (who was to retire in a couple months) took the controls and tried everything to get that gear to come down. Nothing worked. Long story short, they landed with just the nose and left gear down. So your adventure kind of reminded me of that.
