    Default RTW Retro Flight #108 Zurich to Amsterdam . . . . 1961

    KLM flight 312 is a Lockheed L1049-G Super constellation flying from Zurich to Amsterdam, (LSZH - EHAM). We have 1,800 gallons of fuel on board for the 326 nm flight. Moderate cloud cover is expected for the entire flight. We will be cruising at an altitude of 18,000 feet.

    8. Having passed over the southeastern tip of Germany we are cruising at 18,000 feet with the City of Strasbourg and the Rhine River Below.

    9. Over Germany again we are northeast of Saarbrucken and see the Saar River off our right wing.

    10. About 5 nm from the Luxembourg border we pass over the City of Trier on the banks of the Mosel River. It is considered to be one of the oldest cities in Germany.

    Very nice pics and scenery! I am always taken back on the size of the Connies. Have you ever seen the YouTube restoration videos on "Columbine" Dwight D Eisenhower's Air Force One? Very interesting what it took, just getting the engines ready for transport to the east coast!

    Great shots, on my old system I did a retro version of FSX, plus I did one in FS9 too, it was good fun.
