Cjet123
Could someone download and install this aircraft, and tell me what their lights look like. Thanks :mad: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/3136/fsx-airbus-a330-300-pack/
il88pp
Install the included effects files in the ../fsx/effects/ folder. Also, describe the problem better. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Cjet123
Ok so my problem is that when I’m flying my aircraft in fsx steam I see these 2 little lights on the side of the aircraft that look off to me, like their not supposed to be there or something, this happens when I turn the time of day to night. That’s why I wanted someone to download the aircraft and take a picture of what their aircraft looks like at night, with all lights on. It would be very appreciated if someone could download the file and see if their lights show up the same way. Thanks

il88pp
Instaling that aircraft is a lot of work. Can you post a screenshot of the aircraft that shows the lights you mean? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
il88pp
I do have the Tomas Ruth A340-300 installed. (slightly different type. 340 instead of 330.) But by same maker so probably similar. Do you mean these "white lights"? It's the light splash of the landing lights on the hull of the plane. To "get rid of it" turn off the landing lights. mrzippy
I'll download and post a night pic with the lights on. Lights look fine to me! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

Downwind66
Okay, I found the light you are referring to on an Airbus A350. The switch for this light says "Wing" and I believe it is for an in flight inspection light for icing. I could be wrong, but I will stand corrected if that is the case! mrzippy
Mr zippy since you downloaded the aircraft could you please rotate your aircraft and see if the lights appear on yours as well. OK, here comes the explanation. I hope you can follow along! In your aircraft.cfg there is a section called [LIGHTS]. If the configuration is like this: [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing,6taxi,7reco,8wing,9logo,10cabin light.0 = 1, -22.38, 0.00, -10.70, fx_T332beacon , light.1 = 1, 17.22, 0.00, 9.74, fx_T332beacon , light.2 = 2,-118.31, 0.00, 6.60, fx_navwhih , light.3 = 3,-118.31, 0.00, 6.60, fx_navwhih , light.4 = 5, 26.04, 18.39, -3.28, fx_T332land , light.5 = 5, 26.04, -18.39, -3.28, fx_T332land , light.6 = 9,-103.26, 8.79, 20.02, fx_T332logo , light.7 = 9,-103.26, -8.79, 20.02, fx_T332logo , light.8 = 4, 79.14, 0.00, 4.56, fx_vclighth , //light.9 = 6, 22.64, 29.49, -8.18, fx_T332eng , //ight.10 = 6, 22.64, -29.49, -8.18, fx_T332eng , //light.11 = 8, -15.35, 66.26, 2.70, fx_T332wing , //light.12 = 8, -15.35, -66.26, 2.70, fx_T332wing , then the lights look like this: If the [LIGHTS] section looks like this: [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing,6taxi,7reco,8wing,9logo,10cabin light.0 = 1, -22.38, 0.00, -10.70, fx_T332beacon , light.1 = 1, 17.22, 0.00, 9.74, fx_T332beacon , light.2 = 2,-118.31, 0.00, 6.60, fx_navwhih , light.3 = 3,-118.31, 0.00, 6.60, fx_navwhih , light.4 = 5, 26.04, 18.39, -3.28, fx_T332land , light.5 = 5, 26.04, -18.39, -3.28, fx_T332land , light.6 = 9,-103.26, 8.79, 20.02, fx_T332logo , light.7 = 9,-103.26, -8.79, 20.02, fx_T332logo , light.8 = 4, 79.14, 0.00, 4.56, fx_vclighth , light.9 = 6, 22.64, 29.49, -8.18, fx_T332eng , light.10 = 6, 22.64, -29.49, -8.18, fx_T332eng , light.11 = 8, -15.35, 66.26, 2.70, fx_T332wing , light.12 = 8, -15.35, -66.26, 2.70, fx_T332wing , Then the aircraft will have those wing inspection lights: Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
