AVRO Lancastrian RAF from Cairo to Yemen (FSX)

Recommended Posts

The Lancastrian's first flight was in 1943, it was developed from the Lancaster bomber, without armament and a new nose section. It was designed to carry mail and some VIP's. A bit improvised, the narrow fuselage was only designed for a crew of 7. After the war there was a sudden need for passenger planes, so Avro build new Lancastrians for BOAC. Here's a virtual flight from Cairo to Yemen, over the Gulf of Suez, the Red Sea and over a LOT of desert sand.

No! But you're right about the seats. And in a Lancastrian you always had a window seat! ;)

I suppose we should be thankful for what we get!! And leg room would be a huge bonus today!!
