Okay, Charlie Brown, removed all, reinstalled, Put a few aircraft on,, walked away from it, came back, looks like it is now downloading properly? Not double dipping my computer! If not, it will all go to file 13, tired of dealing with it! Rick "in Sunny Hot South Florida, God bring us some cool weather!"

I'm just about to go back to the basic number of aircraft! It astounds me when I am told my 1TB hardrive is maxed out. can't add NO more! Thanks Charlie

Ready to try again, maybe something I missed? Any tips would be appreciated! One thing I didn't understand, why didn't I get the prompt of where I wanted the program installed? ie: C:\FSX instead of C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft games

All is good, BUT, I am getting duplicate head counts on my aircraft?? Error messages tell me that I am out of available space for downloading and when looking at the download, it installed the program to Program Files (86) which is okay with me, BUT, You get one head cound for Program files (x-86), open that up and scroll down to Microsoft Flight Simulator X, and you get another head count for Sim Objects?airplanes? Definitely doing something wrong! And, No Charlie, not ready for the sledge hammer. Bound and determined to get this right. I can fly no issues, just can't do much without maxing out computer capacity!

Got it Jorgen, I have had the acceleration disk for years but never installed it . I knew that the disk would offer both SP1 and SP2 , but didn't load it because at that point, I had downloaded too many add-on aircraft, Now, I am having to reinstall flight sim and want to download the acceleration disk in the right order! We'll soon see if the plan works, I don't want to bother Mr Zippy anymore! Have a super day! - Rick

Sorry Charlie, I posted earlier (still can't get used to the new layout of the site, (but, I will keep still about that)!! I purchased a like new FSX Deluxe program on Ebay. I would very much like to add SP1 and SP2 prior to installing the aircraft. The newer sim is dated 2008, I have a virgin copy of an acceleration disk,dated 2007 which would have both SP1 and Sp2 on it, are the two years compatible with each other? OR, do you have site(s) which you can recommend for downloading both prior to me dropping all my alrcraft? Sorry to be a pain, but I'd like to get this right the first time. A lot of work, but, I do enjoy the simming! AND, as always, thanks for all your help! No hammers please, (not yet anyway) !!! Rick

Charlie - If I take the program down to nothing to reload a replacement, is that the time to load SP1 AND SP2 prior to adding all my addons?

Already tried that, didn't help that or my back! Next try is to uninstall everything, reload FSX and transfer my aircraft from my backup disc! If I didn't love the sim, I'd say forget about it and start doing crossword puzzles, my Dad liked doing them, but I can't see me liking them! thanks Charlie! Have a nice Labor Day weekend! Rick

After running a repair disc, seems like all the modern day Jetliners have only half power on electrical, such as MFD, PFD's. Couple aircraft that I thought would run, came up as normal, as soon as I touched one key, all went blank, any ideas? Hate to start another repair scan, as It might make matters worse than worse! any reports that can be run while it is in a "less than running state?" Rick (Downwind66)

Never mind, I found what I did, duhhhhh! I deleted an aircraft that was the parent folder for an alias'd family of panel needs! This is what my week has been like.

I have lost a whole section of aircraft and don't know why? Need some help here, it would be most appreciated! Rick
