  1. I found how to do it. I use Serif photoplus. If you use the `background eraser tool it works a treat.

  3. I am designing some scenery for X Plane. I am using the orthophotos produced by wedbing and I am tying to trim them. In fsx I simply cut them using Serif Photoplus and when loaded they were transparent. However in X Plane it doesn't work the same. The images are 512x512 so I simply created a blank 512 image with a transparent background then copied and pasted the original image into the newly created image then cut around the image clearly displaying the transparency but it still doesn't work. I then tried creating an Alpha with DXTBMP but it still doesn't work, anyone help me here?
  4. I have just started using Orthophotos in WED and I am trying to trim some of the images so they blend in better but It doesn't seem to work with jpeg's like it did with bmp's in FSX. I have copied the 256x256 image out of my airfield library and copied it onto a newly created one with a transparent background but it doesn't seem to work in X-Plane as they have a white background. Anyone help would be appreciated Thanks. Neil
  5. Thanks Dom, Nice when you know people are enjoying your work. I have just uploaded another flight around Oban and the island of Kerrera and I am just putting the finishing touches to a flight from Oban through the mountains down to Glencoe and back to the fictional airfield at Fort William
  6. Since updating my x-plane I have been unable to load any aircraft, is this a coincidence, has anyone had the same? Neil
