  1. Your set-up gave me a smile as I was reminded of that old Disney classic ... well done MAD ... good to have you with us!
  2. Each of those paints look great to me ... well done both of you. That Bell of PP's is one good looking chopper ... and that Beech of jgf's ... (I'll say it again) drop dead gorgeous. Well done mates!
  3. Thanks TomP ... sounds good. I'll keep the Sabre on standby just in case ... but that Twin Comanche is still calling my name ...
  4. Two quick questions VP2 ... (sorry if I missed something above). 1). Where should one submit their entry information? On this thread or to TomP via PM? 2). Will anyone be keeping track of the free flight folks? Certainly not necessary ... just a thought.
  5. Not to worry ... Santa left me a Sabre under the tree ... just in case PP gets a little 'crazy down under' ...
  6. Interesting ... guess we'd be pretty safe then ... but I think a few Sabre's would still be nice ...
  7. 'The Cloud Warriors' ... well ... are the Inca still active? How about the Spanish? Do we get lightsabers? I'm cool ... As for the time frame that kind of depends on the route(s) ... but I hope 30 days would be adequate.
  8. Agree ... two completely different stories ... but you're being too kind to Ken ... now 'Hornet Flight' I really enjoyed.
  9. Yes ... Ed Dover. I must have read an excerpt somewhere. Thank you. I did read 'Night Over Water' by Ken Follett ... that was a disappointment.
  10. Wow ... I remember something about the story from somewhere ... has anybody written that book?
  11. I'm certainly willing to take a step back but I've felt over the last week or so that a consensus was building, and it may be time to move forward and see what happens. PP's summary is a good recap ... and attempts to lend some clarification to the concerns you have expressed ... but if you feel we should continue kicking the tires for a while ... no problem.
  12. No problem ... get well ... and thank you. To start it sounds like you can put PP down with the untimed as well as myself for now. Don't worry about the OMO's ... they will rise to the top as the groups come together ... and hopefully you'll be feeling better by that point ... you would make a great OMO!
  13. I've been thinking about where you had gone ... sorry to hear. I was hoping for you to jump in and lead us out of the wilderness these past few days but I think we're making progress. Take care mate ...
  14. Starting to sound like a plan ... TomP ... would you be willing to develop and post a sign-up sheet? (I don't have a clue).
  15. Not sure I'm proposing anything ... just thinking out loud. One thread would keep us all together, but it may be very confusing to follow and very difficult for the OMO's. Three distinct threads may be best. One could combine the untimed with the timed on each of the two routes but I'm not sure the story lines would blend very well ... and may leave the poor free flight folks out in some weird sort of twilight zone. Each of the timed events needs an OMO for sure. It may be nice to have someone with the untimed keep track of folks ... but agree no formal OMO is needed. Who signs up for what will be interesting ...
  16. So ... you're thinking one thread three OMO's or three threads three OMO's or what? (My head is starting to spin also).
  17. South route checks with what I have given the alternates developed by defaid due to the missing fields in FS9 ...
  18. ... or the untimed combined as a separate thread?
  19. Thanks for putting this together PP. Starting to think that each may need a separate thread ... perhaps the untimed could be combined. Best sleep with one eye open tonight ...
  20. Oh my ... what are you thinking Bosss? Testing revealed that the XB-42 suffered from instability and excessive yaw ... as well as propeller vibration and poor engine cooling. We don't want to lose you to the RFDS on this trip ...
  21. Anyone thinking of these two cabin class machines? Not flown in the original event ... but each could make quick work of whatever route one chooses ...
  22. Sounds like a whole lot of barbie and chew to me ... better bring along some fruit ...
  23. For sure ... but that Twin Comanche does seem to be calling my name ...
  24. The Vampire? You must be planning to really make tracks 'down under' ... what happened to low and slow? (but she sure is a beauty).
